Welcome to Norway. First stop: Oslo, Norway's thriving capital.

If you have time before boarding... see+ your ship for an unforgettable voyage, set out to discover the charms of this cosmopolitan capital. In the city centre, use your camera to capture Rådhuset, the City Hall with its distinctive architectural style, the Royal Palace and Oslo Cathedral.

At the end of the day, board your ship. Once you have been welcomed on board and settled into your cabin or suite, you will meet the team of guides. You will get to know each member of the team through the lectures and activities organised on board throughout your journey. Meet your fellow passengers in the ship's two-storey panoramic lounge and watch in good company as the flashing lights of the capital disappear over the horizon.

At sea - Norway Stavanger
Today, you'll be amazed from the moment you wake up at the sight of the magnificent Lysefjord. 42... see+ kilometres long, this fjord offers some of the most famous views in Norway. Start with Preikestolen, the Rock of the Chair, perched 604 metres above the sparkling waters of the fjord.

Mount Kjerag, at the far end of the fjord, is even more imposing. Along the way, keep an eye out for goats, waterfalls and the famous Kjeragbolten, a glacial rock wedged between two sheer walls.

Spend the rest of the day in Stavanger, a colourful seaside city with a rich cultural scene and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Discover the architectural remains of Stavanger's historic quarter, including a series of wooden houses that are among the best preserved in Northern Europe and Norway's oldest cathedral, dating back to the 12th century.

You can also visit the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, browse the local shops or enjoy a quiet beer on the waterfront.

Stavanger Alesund
After a hearty breakfast on board, we dock at Ålesund, a town stretching across a string of... see+ islands.

Many of the buildings, distinguished by bright colours and rounded spires, are inspired by the Art Nouveau style popular in the early 1900s. Take advantage of your visit to take some impressive shots of the archipelago from the viewpoint on Mount Aksla.

You can also visit Atlantic Sea Park, Norway's first Marine Science Centre. It is one of the largest saltwater aquariums in Northern Europe. It is home to seals, otters and crabs, as well as many other marine species. You may even see Humboldt penguins, a species otherwise absent north of the equator.

Join an optional excursion to explore Ålesund on foot or by bus with a guide who will reveal the town's amazing secrets.

Alesund Rorvik
Despite its modest size, the friendly fishing port of Rørvik in the picturesque Vikna archipelago... see+ boasts a rich history, reflected in the landscape and a series of local museums.

Join us on an optional excursion to go back 10,000 years in time and catch a glimpse of the future as we explore a landscape carved out during the Ice Age, carefully preserved 19th-century living rooms and the ingenious Norwegian salmon industry, all of which are explained in three excellent museums.

In the afternoon, we continue our journey north through the Vikna archipelago, made up of 6,000 islands, islets and reefs. The local gardens see plum and apple trees blossom in spring, even at 65° North, thanks to the maritime climate.

We'll be sailing at night to leave the Helgeland coast behind us and cross the Arctic Circle.

Rorvik Svolvaer Stokmarknes
Today we explore the Lofoten archipelago. As soon as you see the towering peaks, towering over the... see+ fishing villages built into the mountainsides, you'll understand why this string of islands is so often considered one of Norway's most dazzling sights.

We dock in the town of Svolvær mid-morning. Located on the island of Austvågøya, in the heart of the Lofoten Islands, Svolvær is the largest town in the archipelago. It has many restaurants, shops, galleries and cafés. You can also admire the panorama offered by the Svolvær goat, a nearby mountain that owes its name to its resemblance to a horned goat.

A number of optional excursions are available from Svolvær, including a winter fishing trip, a kayak trip along the coast or a bus tour exploring the history of Lofoten.

Leaving the region without a stopover in Stokmarknes is unthinkable. This is where the Norwegian Coastal Express was founded in 1893. On the waterfront, you'll discover a ship from 1956, the MS Finnmarken, housed in the museum in a glass case like a ship in a bottle.

Stokmarknes Tromso
More than 300 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, this urban centre is teeming with life, with... see+ trendy restaurants and cafés as well as boutiques selling handicrafts, local produce and even haute couture. The ship will dock for eight hours to give you time to take optional excursions and explore the city at your leisure.

Visit the Polar Museum, which traces the local heritage of Arctic hunting and trading. Visit the Polaria Centre, an aquarium housing a host of marine species typical of the Arctic, starting with seals. Opposite Polaria, on the other side of the river, stands the Arctic Cathedral, whose unusual architecture and impressive stained glass windows set it apart from the rest.

Tromsø is one of the must-see destinations of a lifetime. Optional excursions include dog-sledding or snowmobiling in the snow-covered landscapes of the region, reindeer watching, a visit to an igloo or exploring this remarkable Arctic city by bus.

Tromso Honningsvag
Our early morning arrival will allow you to enjoy a full day in Honningsvåg. This northern region... see+ has long winters and heavy snowfalls, so get ready for some fantastic winter scenery and activities.

Feel the snow crunch under your snowshoes as you trek across the plains with our team of guides. On optional excursions, why not try your hand at ice fishing, a winter tradition deeply rooted in the Far North? Try your hand at king crab. This local speciality is caught in the waters around Honningsvåg and served all year round.

Optional excursions include a trip to the North Cape overlooking the Barents Sea, a real highlight of any trip to Honningsvåg. This is one of the most northerly points in continental Europe, and as we'll be there in winter, you can even get there by snowmobile.

Having reached the most northerly point of our journey, we'll leave the port in the evening to turn around and start our descent south.

Honningsvag Alta
At 70° north, this town is a long way from the Arctic Circle. The region is known for its good... see+ visibility of the Aurora Borealis, so get your camera ready.

On an optional excursion, discover the daily lives of Alta's inhabitants, explore an amazing rock art site and visit the Cathedral of the Northern Lights, whose exhibition explains how Alta became the epicentre of ground-breaking research into the Aurora Borealis between the 19th and 20th centuries.

The abundance of snow in winter means that you can enjoy some truly authentic Arctic excursions, particularly by dog sled. Try sledging on wheels if the snow doesn't fall when you come. Alta's snow and climate also create the perfect conditions for building and maintaining the Igloo Hotel. Located on the banks of the River Alta, it is the most northerly ice hotel in the world. The 250-tonne ice complex features ice sculptures and murals.

You can also take part in a hike up Mount Komsa in the company of a team of guides. The views are absolutely fascinating.

Alta Narvik
Narvik was originally a year-round ice-free port, developed to service the region's iron ore mines.... see+ Known for the battle of the same name during the Second World War, Narvik is now renowned as a starting point for outdoor adventures, including skiing, dog-sledding and hiking.

On optional excursions, immerse yourself in Narvik's fascinating past at the Narvik War Museum, where the events that took place in the harbour during the Second World War are brought to life through engaging displays and stories.

To venture into the heart of the region, board the Arctic train and travel along the iconic Ofoten line for panoramic views of majestic mountains. And for panoramic views of Narvik from the heights, take the cable car to the top of Narvikfjellet.

After Narvik, we head south along Norway's breathtaking coastline. Marvel at the sight of windswept... see+ islands, sheltered bays and some of the most spectacular fjords in the world. The region is also home to a wealth of wildlife, starting with the majestic sea eagles.

When we started sailing north of Trøndelag in 1893, this part of the coastline was still relatively unknown. However, after so many years of sailing, these waters no longer hold any secrets for us. Today, we are one of the few shipping companies experienced enough to take you to the many reefs, islets and hidden fjords that characterise the coastline in this region.

At sea - Norway Andalsnes
After visiting the city centre in the morning, you will have the opportunity to explore Åndalsnes,... see+ a picturesque coastal town situated on the shores of Isfjord at the end of Romsdalsfjord.

Åndalsnes is surrounded by magnificent mountains that tower above the town. The town has become one of Norway's leading destinations for hikers, skiers and sports enthusiasts of all kinds. The vertiginous Trollveggen, a vertical rock face culminating at 1,700 metres, also attracts adrenaline junkies from all over the world.

Take in the local sights on a stroll through town and a pleasant ride on the Romsdal cable car, which takes you to the top of Mount Nesaksla, 708 metres above sea level. From here, enjoy a 360-degree view of the majestic Romsdalshorn, Åndalsnes town centre below and the river Rauma.

Andalsnes Bergen
Surrounded by seven mountains and the sea, the former capital of Bergen is one of Norway's most... see+ historic and picturesque cities, as well as being the country's second largest.

Take a stroll through the historic Bryggen district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover its colourful wooden warehouses dating back to the 14th century. Bergen's famous fish market is also well worth a visit. It promises a veritable sensory feast, with freshly landed seafood prepared before your very eyes.

One of Bergen's best attractions is the Fløibanen funicular, which takes you to the top of Mount Fløyen. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city, the fjord and other surrounding peaks.

Bergen Kristiansund
We'll spend the last afternoon of your trip in Kristiansand, Norway's fifth largest city, nestling... see+ on the southernmost tip of the country.

Kristiansand's ambition is to become Europe's most environmentally-friendly port. Learn all about this admirable quest on an optional excursion that includes a visit to Odderøya Island.

Unless you prefer to delve into Kristiansand's 20th-century military past on an optional excursion to Vara Battery. Originally built as a German fort during the Second World War, the building houses the second largest cannon ever mounted on land.

Back on the ship, we'll end our trip in style with a farewell dinner. Take this opportunity to exchange photos and experiences with your fellow passengers one last time.

Excursion to the North Cape
The North Cape plateau stretches 307 meters above the Arctic Ocean. Welcome to Europe's northernmost point. Unlike previous passengers who had to climb to the top of the cliff, a bus from Honningsvåg will take you to your destination. You'll have plenty of... see+ time to stroll around the plateau and take photos in front of the monumental globe.
Enjoy a generous breakfast buffet in the North Cape Hall as you gaze out over the Barents Sea, before experiencing the four seasons of the North Cape through a panoramic film. In the North Cape Hall, inside the cliff, you can buy handcrafted gifts for your loved ones in the gift store and visit the chapel and small museum.
Departing from Honningsvåg, we take an underwater tunnel that links the town to the mainland. The bus then takes us south along the majestic Porsangerfjord, before heading back along the coast to Hammerfest, one of the world's most northerly towns.

The cable car ride takes you to the Narvikfjellet Mountain Restaurant. This offers an unrivalled panoramic view of deep fjords, steep mountains rising straight from the sea and the historic ore harbor and Narvik city.

Andalsnes and Romsdal cable car
Our tour starts as soon as you disembark on the quay, where you'll meet our local guide and begin our journey to discover the city's main points of interest. One of the most interesting sites is the remarkable Train Chapel, a decommissioned railroad carriage... see+ that was transformed into a small chapel in 2003. This is a first in Norway, if not the world.
After our walking tour, we'll make our way to the Romsdal cable car, Norway's longest and most eco-friendly. The cable car takes just 5 minutes to cover the 1,679 meters between the fjord and the peaks of the Romsdal mountains, but you'll feel as if you've travelled to another world. The views from the cableway and the summit are spectacular.
At the top, 708 meters above sea level, we'll scan the 360-degree panorama to take in the unforgettable contours of Romsdalshorn (one of Norway's most famous peaks), the Vengetindene summit, downtown Åndalsnes and the surrounding green valleys. It's easy to see why Åndalsnes is Norway's mountaineering capital!
We'll then explore the top of the mountain on a 30-minute guided walk (500 meters), and discover how the harsh climate shapes the daily lives of the region's inhabitants.
Before returning to the cable car, we'll take time to enjoy a local coffee and delicacy at the Eggen restaurant, located on the mountain next to the Romsdal cable car station.
