Familiarize yourself with Rangiroa's coral gardens and tropical fish on this glass-bottomed boat tour. Your boat will float gently over the huge coral formations that cluster in the shallows of Tiputa Pass.
You'll be able to contemplate a colorful world of... see+ parrotfish, butterflyfish and surgeonfish through the large glass window. You may also catch a glimpse of blacktip sharks, or a majestic napoleon fish. During the excursion, the boat's Polynesian crew will lure the fish directly under the glass bottom so you can observe and photograph them more easily.
A roof will protect you from the sun and glare, so you can take some great photos.
At the end of the tour, you'll be taken back to the pier.
This tour does not include snorkeling. It takes place on Motu Nuhi Nuhi. Although marine life is abundant in this area, there is no guarantee that you will see any fish. Black pearl farm
Discover Rangiroa's black pearl industry and culture on a visit to the “Black Pearl Farm”.
You'll leave the wharf by minibus and travel to the pearl farm via Rangiroa's main road and airport. Most pearl farms are small; the number of workers here is... see+ fairly typical of other farms in the region.
As soon as you arrive, the staff will briefly explain how pearls are grown and produced. You'll learn all about the chronology and evolution of this industry, as well as how oysters are selected, bred and then grafted for production.
Following these explanations, you'll visit the sheds where the oysters are sorted and cleaned, and watch a grafter at work as he performs his craft with skill.
At the end of the tour, you'll be taken back to the quay by minibus.
This excursion is designed for participants interested in pearl farming. The Tuamotus are very isolated islands: although the guides are the best available, they are not certified. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Snorkeling in Rangiroa's aquarium
Rangiroa's spectacular and diverse marine life awaits you on this Tuamotu excursion.
From the pier, you'll be taken by local boat to Motu Nuhi Nuhi, a natural open-ocean aquarium renowned for its marine life. On arrival, safety and swimming instructions will... see+ be given before you enter the water and explore the surroundings.
Along the way, you'll see a myriad of colorful fish and coral, as well as an abundance of marine life. Your guide will accompany you throughout the excursion.
At the end of the snorkeling session, you'll be taken back to the dock.
This tour is reserved for those in good physical condition and capable of deep-water snorkeling in strong currents. Although our guides are the best available, they are not certified. Sacred and legendary sites
During this spectacular excursion, you will be accompanied by an expert guide in anthropology and archaeology.
Starting from Maroe aboard a "Truck," a famous local-style bus, you will cross the bridge to Huahine Nui, the "big island." You will then drive... see+ along lush valleys and turquoise lagoons to Fare, the island's capital, where Captain James Cook stayed during his visits.
Your first stop will be the village of Maeva, considered one of the most important archaeological areas in French Polynesia. While walking through the village, you will visit archaeological sites along the lakeside, as well as the Pote’e Museum of Fare. You will learn all about Polynesia: origins, migrations, traditional society, religion, botany, European explorers… and see up close various tools, handicrafts, and traditional artifacts.
You will continue your visit to the hill of Mata’ire’a overlooking the village of Maeva, home to over 200 stone structures, including maraes, agricultural terraces, house foundations, fortified walls, and funerary platforms.
Your next stop by "Truck" will be a vanilla plantation run by a local family, where you will have the opportunity to purchase various products. You will then stop to learn about 500-year-old fish traps, which, after restoration, are still used by the inhabitants of Maeva.
On your return trip to the port, you will pass through the village of Faie, where your guide will feed the giant blue-eyed eels swimming in the stream.
This excursion involves a short uphill walk. Participants are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, a hat, and sunglasses. The order of sites may vary. If you wish to purchase authentic Tahitian vanilla during the excursion, please bring cash. Only US dollars and Pacific francs are accepted. Discover Huahine's magnificent lagoon and scenery on this boat cruise including a snorkeling tour. You'll depart from the pier aboard an outrigger canoe (motorized) to reach the dive site. After receiving safety instructions, you'll dive into the lagoon to... see+ admire myriads of fish and coral. Coconuts, fresh seasonal fruit and refreshments will be offered before you return to the dock.This excursion is reserved for experienced swimmers able to launch themselves from the boat and swim in deep waters subject to ocean currents.

Excursion to the island of Bora-Bora with Le Truck
Explore the paradise island of Bora Bora on this tour aboard "Le Truck," a colorful and friendly truck-bus designed to carry about forty passengers on wooden benches. This picturesque mode of transport was once an iconic means of travel in Polynesia,... see+ especially on the Society Islands.

From the dock, you’ll board your "Truck" and pass through the Fa’anui district. Along the way, you’ll drive through small villages and fields, offering a glimpse of the daily life of Bora Bora’s residents. A brief stop at Fanny Bay will allow you to photograph Mount Otemanu and Mount Pahia.

Your route continues to the ancient ceremonial site of Fa’anui Marae, followed by a visit to the bunkers built by American GIs during World War II. At Mama Edna’s, you’ll enjoy some local treats such as breadfruit, peas mixed with coconut milk (not marinated), taro, and tropical fruits. You’ll also have the chance to purchase locally handmade and hand-painted traditional pareos. Moving on, you’ll admire Mount Otemanu from a scenic viewpoint, standing as a silent sentinel guarding the Pearl of the South Pacific.

Finally, you’ll pass by the Club Med Village before reaching the sandy beach of Matira, where you can enjoy stunning views and take photos before returning to Vaitape.

At the end of the tour, you’ll return to your ship from the dock. Be prepared for a bumpy ride on some trails during this island tour. Occasionally, an air-conditioned bus may replace the Truck. Discovery of Raiatea
Drive along the east coast of Raiatea to Fa'aroa Bay. Explore the interior of this picturesque island by ascending the hillside through untouched forests of bamboo, balsa, and rosewood. A brief photo stop is planned at the viewpoint to admire the spectacular... see+ views of the mountains and volcanic craters. Enjoy a second photo stop from a vantage point overlooking the breathtaking lagoon, framed by beautiful white sand beaches and tropical flora. During the rainy season, magnificent waterfalls cascading down the mountain peaks can be seen. A third photo stop will offer panoramic views of Huahine, the Motu Islands, coral reefs, and crystal-clear waters. The final stop will be at one of the most important archaeological sites in French Polynesia: 'Marae Taputapuatea'.

During your tour, learn about Tahitian society, the history of the Maohi people, and the daily life of the local inhabitants. At the end of your excursion, you will be returned to the pier.

Discovery of Tahaa
Discover the topography of Taha'a, its ancestral culture, and its local economy during an unforgettable off-road excursion.
Start from the pier aboard an all-terrain vehicle to reach the highest mountains of Taha'a. Along the way, your guide will explain the... see+ sights before taking you to a panoramic viewpoint to admire the surroundings and introduce you to the traditional use of local plants and trees.
The island of Taha'a is often called the Vanilla Island, due to the presence of this fragrant spice, and you will learn about its cultivation during a visit to a small family plantation. You will then visit a small black pearl farm to learn how these treasures are grown and harvested. These family businesses play a significant role in the economic structure of this small island.
On the return journey, along the eastern coast of the island, your guide will delight you with stories about island life and traditions. Upon returning to the ship, shuttle service to the private island, Motu Mahana, will be available throughout the day.
This excursion involves travel on very rough roads with steep ascents and descents. It is not recommended for those with back and/or neck problems, motion sickness, dizziness, or limited mobility. The itinerary may be modified based on weather conditions. Participants must remain seated in the vehicle as standing may be dangerous.

Dolphin and Shark Observation
Discover the marine treasures of Moorea Island during a tour dedicated to the research and observation of dolphins and sharks. You will have the opportunity to swim with these graceful and curious animals and understand how humans and these predators can live... see+ in harmony. Some dolphins are visible in the pass at the entrance to the bay, while others can be found in the open sea. On the other side of the coral reef, you will encounter grey sharks, lemon sharks, and turtles, all under the supervision of your guides.
Participation is limited to a maximum of 6 people. Please wear a swimsuit under loose clothing, bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a towel from the boat, and snorkeling equipment (fins, mask, snorkel) from the marina. Refreshments will be available during the excursion.
