Porto Entre-os-Rios Guimaraes
Full board on board. At first light, we depart from Porto for Entre-os-Rios, where we’ll arrive... see+ after breakfast. Entre-os-Rios is a small town in northern Portugal, located at the confluence of the Douro and Tâmega rivers. It offers an exceptional natural setting and idyllic landscapes. Among the must-see attractions are the Duarte Pacheco Bridge, which connects the town to the opposite bank of the Tâmega, and the São Miguel de Entre-os-Rios Church, a remarkable example of Romanesque architecture. The town is also home to the Museu da Pedra (Stone Museum), which features a collection showcasing the region’s earliest inhabitants. About 4 km away is a spa resort, an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature in the heart of a park filled with century-old trees. Nestled in a magnificent natural amphitheater formed by high slate hillsides dotted with terraced vineyards, the town is the ideal starting point for discovering the world’s oldest demarcated wine region, which has been regulated since 1756.
