At the entrance to the river port stand two UNESCO World Heritage monuments, the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower. The Alfama hill is also worth a visit: known for its fado bars and Moorish alleyways, this district is the oldest in the city and one of the most typical. Not far from there, the elegant streets of Chiado are home to the big names in fashion and invite you to enjoy an elegant shopping spree.

Just a few blocks from the Puerto de la Luz port, you will discover the vast Las Canteras beach, with palm trees on its side of the boat, emblematic of the city. You will find them in the streets and squares, particularly in the Plaza de Santa Ana in the heart of the historic district. You'll feel as if you've stepped back in time when you see the tall buildings close-hauled to the Cathedral of Santa Ana. Close-hauled, you can visit the Casa de Colón, a museum dedicated to the famous navigator, housed in the former palace of the island's governors.
