In the morning, panoramic tour of colonial Hanoi: the Opera House, the old concession district, the... see+ post office, the former Bank of Indochina, and the Governor's residence. Visit the Women's Museum, which traces the major stages of Vietnam's history through the rites and customs of Vietnamese women. Lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Ngoc Son Temple (Jade Mountain Temple) located in the city center on Jade Island in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake (Returned Sword Lake). Take a cyclo ride to the water puppet show, which depicts everyday life and Vietnamese legends. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, early morning departure for Halong Bay (170 km), a World Heritage... see+ Site since 1994. Around noon, board a Paradise cruise ship. Welcome cocktail and departure. Buffet lunch on the side of the boat, then departure by tender to discover pearl farming. Visit the Tung Sau pearl farm. On the way back, your boat will moor near a beach. Early in the morning, Tai Chi session on the Sun Deck. After breakfast, departure to explore Sung... see+ Sot Cave, nicknamed the Cave of Surprises. Access to the cave is via a climb of 138 steps. Then return to the side of the boat and sail to the Paradise Company pier. Disembark and depart by coach for Haiphong (60 km). Lunch en route to Haiphong Airport. Flight to Saigon to begin your Mekong River cruise program.

Breakfast at the hotel. Then transfer to Vinh Long. En route, visit a lacquer factory and stop at the Cholon market, the old Chinese trading town that became part of Saigon in 1931. Ben Tre Cai Be Sa Dec
After breakfast, depart in small local boats to reach Tan Phong Island. Take a walk to discover how... see+ decorative items are made from water hyacinths. The afternoon continues with a ride in small vehicles through fruit fields. Stop at a garden for an introduction to exotic fruits.
Before returning to the side of the boat, pass by the Gothic cathedral of Cai Be and meet a family who make rice paper and coconut candy. Lunch on the side of the boat. In the afternoon, arrival in Sa Dec, where French writer Marguerite Duras spent part of her childhood. City tour to soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere of this lively delta town, where a few colonial houses remain. Visit the "Chinese House," described in The Lover, which has been converted into a small museum, then a Caodaist temple, a syncretic religion that is very present in southern Vietnam. Explore the colorful local market. Dinner on the side of the boat.

With its farming village, mat factory, and silk factory, this small town is very representative of this part of Asia, divided between rural life and bustling economic activity. Return to the side of the boat for lunch. Sail towards the Cambodian border. In the afternoon, the ship stops at the border for formalities to exit Vietnam and enter Cambodia. Dinner on board.

Arrival in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. Formerly known as "the Pearl of Asia," the city was... see+ renowned for its wide, tree-lined boulevards and harmonious colonial architecture. Today, Phnom Penh is building on its past to develop a new ambition as a major Asian capital.

In the morning, visit the Royal Palace, residence of the King of Cambodia. This complex of pavilions and pagodas forms a vast architectural ensemble. Visit the Silver Pagoda, which houses several national treasures. Then, continue on to the National Museum, the country's main historical and archaeological museum, which has one of the most important collections of Khmer art. Lunch on the side of the boat. In the afternoon, visit the Tuol Sleng Museum. This former detention center, grimly known as S-21 between 1975 and 1979, was set up in a former high school. Here, in a solemn atmosphere, visitors can appreciate the extent of the tragedy experienced by the Cambodian people under the Khmer Rouge regime. On the way back to the boat, stop at Vat Phnom Hill, a picturesque sanctuary dedicated to Lady Penh, after whom the city is named. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Khmer dance performance on the side of the boat. Dinner on the side of the boat.

Angkor Ban is one of the very few villages not to have been burned down or destroyed during the Khmer Rouge period. It is a dive into intimate Cambodia, to the rhythm of its inhabitants. In the morning, departure to discover Angkor and one of the ancient capitals of the Khmer Empire,... see+ Angkor Thom. In the center of this fortified complex with monumental gates, visit the remarkable Bayon, built by the great builder king Jayavarman VII. The temple, surrounded by towers sculpted with smiling faces, extends into the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King dominating the central square of this ancient royal city. Angkor Thom also has two important pyramid temples, the Phimeanakas and the Baphuon, the restoration of which, by the French School of the Far East, was completed in 2011. In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Ta Prohm. This temple immersed in tropical vegetation was deliberately left in a state close to that of its rediscovery at the beginning of the 20th century.

In the morning, visit the Banteay Srei temple.... see+ Nicknamed "the Citadel of Women", this flat temple surrounded by moats is a marvel, built in the 10th century, whose appearance has retained a remarkable freshness. Supported by laterite, the pink sandstone has been sculpted with extreme finesse. Lunch in a restaurant in town. Continuation by the Temple of Angkor Wat, the largest of the temples of the site of Angkor, whose majesty and harmony constitute a culmination of Khmer art. The exterior galleries, decorated with sculptures and narrative bas-reliefs, support a central sanctuary, the kingdom of the gods. Return to the hotel.
