Rent a sailboat Kirié Feeling
Founded by the Kirié family in 1912, the Kirié shipyard inevitably brings to mind the models in the Feeling range for those familiar with the history of pleasure boating. At itsaims, this French shipbuilder, who assembled his first boats in a modest garage on rue de la Forêt in Sables d'Olonne, focused mainly on the production of small wooden pleasure boats.Five decades later, the company had developed considerably and had become one of the most innovative French shipyards of the 1960s. Located in Château-d'Olonne, not far from where its history began, the Kirié shipyard was one of the first to use polyester to build its boats. Thus, until the end of the 1970s, the Kirié shipyard continued to establish its reputation by producing the « Kirié Fifty » sailing promenade deck for fishing and the motorized promenade decks for fishing « Kirié Ange de mer ».The famous range of « Feeling » cabin cruisers appeared in the early 1980s and gradually became the manufacturer's showcase. The Kirié Feeling 1350 was also praised for its exceptional seafaring qualities in all sailing trim. These are the qualities that enabled this sailboat, designed by Ron Holland, to win the Route du Rhum in 1986, in the « Production Boats » category. But the 1350 series was not the only one to make the brand shine, as the Kirié Feeling 1090, designed by architect Philippe Harlé, also won an important trophy: « Boat of the Year 1987 ».After the turn of the millennium, when the shipyard was taken over by Alliaura Marine, the range retained its aesthetic appeal, reliability and performance. The Feeling 32, launched in 1999 and designed by Michel Joubert and Patrick Roséo, was voted "Sailboat of the Year 2000" by the specialized magazine Voile Magazine. Subsequently, however, the Feeling range was bought by businessman Gilles Wagner for the creation of the Privilège Marine group in 2012
