Carnac is a commune located on the northwest coast of France. It is a very popular tourist destination for its natural beauty and archaeological remains. The commune is known for its alignments of more than 3,000 menhirs that were discovered thousands of years ago. These alignments are considered to be one of the oldest and largest megalithic monuments in the world.
The region also offers magnificent beaches, hiking trails, water parks and water sports. Carnac is an ideal vacation destination for families and nature lovers. The town is also the point of departure for several excursions, particularly to the Quiberon peninsula.

Temperatures in Carnac are generally mild and pleasant. In summer, they are generally between 17°C and 25°C, with points of up to 28°C in August. Winter is mild and wet, with average temperatures between 7°C and 12°C, and frequent fog. Rainfall is generally lower than elsewhere in Brittany, and the region is well sheltered from the rain by the surrounding hills. The winds generally blow from the northwest and are quite strong in winter, making the region quite windy and cool.
