Rio Ariau Black River Solimoes
At the first light of day, the Amazon rainforest awakens before your eyes in a spectacle of... see+ incomparable beauty. The reflection of giant shafts and the orange-pink sky is outlined on the still surface of the river, creating a living canvas where every movement reveals a fragment of life: the flapping of heron wings, the distant cries of monkeys, or the silent passage of a canoe carrying fishermen and families to their daily activities. You then continue on to one of the most fascinating natural phenomena in the Amazon basin: the Meeting of the Waters. Here, the clear, almost black waters of the Rio Negro, acidic and light, flow gently alongside the yellow, silt-laden waters of the Solimões. For miles, the two rivers do not pitch, creating a winding border on the surface, a veritable liquid lace where colors and textures coexist without blending, before finally merging into the majestic Amazon River. Your guides will explain this unique phenomenon, which is linked to differences in temperature, density, and speed between the two waters. From your boat, you observe this striking contrast, which seems almost unreal, as if two worlds were meeting. After dinner, it's time for a nighttime adventure. Under the starlight, you set off on an expedition in a boat in search of caimans. The silence of the night is broken only by the rustling of leaves and the mysterious sounds of the sleeping forest. Then the magic happens: in the beam of the flashlights, red points appear on the surface of the river—the eyes of the caimans, shining like tiny diamonds in the darkness. An intense, respectful, and unforgettable experience that reveals another facet of Amazonian life.

Solimoes Janauari Lake Rio Manaquiri
At dawn, while the mist still hovers over the calm waters, you set off to explore Lake Janauacá by... see+ boat. It is one of the most beautiful moments of the day, when nature slowly awakens: birds set off to hunt, herons glide silently over the reeds, and pink and gray dolphins venture close-hauled to the shore to hunt for fish hidden in the silt-laden waters. All around you, life is getting organized: fishermen's canoes glide across the lake, punctuating the landscape with familiar moving silhouettes. The communities living around the lake derive their livelihood from cassava cultivation, fishing, and small-scale traditional livestock farming. Here, the soil is particularly fertile: seasonal floods deposit a generous layer of nutrients each year, enriching the land and shaping the rhythm of life throughout the region. You continue sailing on the more intimate Manaquiri River, with the side of the boat hauled in by deep forests where isolated villages, shady trails, and authentic scenes of life follow one another. Encounters with the inhabitants of the riverbanks offer you a precious glimpse into their daily lives, closely linked to the river and the forest. Throughout the day, wildlife can be observed: curious monkeys, colorful birds, discreet reptiles, not to mention the countless varieties of plants that populate this generous forest. When the sun dips behind the canopy, the warm colors of the sky envelop the river in an almost unreal atmosphere. After nightfall, you set off on a nighttime boat excursion in search of wildlife that becomes particularly active in the dark. The rustling of leaves, the glints of light on the water, the sparkling eyes of animals lining the banks... a striking immersion in the mysterious and vibrant Amazon at night.

Rio Manaquiri Janauari Lake
You leave Manaquiri early in the morning and begin your journey towards Lake Janauari, taking the... see+ Parana do Barroso canal, one of these winding spinnaker arms of the Amazon where nature expresses itself at every moment. This canal, a veritable corridor of biodiversity, is ideal for observing the flora and fauna that thrive in the shelter of the main shipping lanes: birds close-hauled near the banks, monkeys swinging between the vines, lush vegetation plunging directly into the water. As you move forward, the scene changes and becomes more human: the banks come alive with the daily life of the river's inhabitants. You pass floating houses or houses built on stilts, often painted in bright colors, truly adapted to an environment where water dictates the pace. On wooden platforms, women and children bustle about doing laundry or bathing; their laughter and simple gestures create a lively and warm scene. Further on, fishermen cast their cast nets with a precise movement passed down from generation to generation. Boats laden with goods pass each other in a silent ballet, while the forest in the background continues its perpetual movement: birds flying, wings rustling, bursts of color and sparkles on the water. This peaceful and abundant navigation offers you a privileged glimpse into Amazonian life, where humans and nature live in close symbiosis. At the end of the day, you arrive in the vast region of Lake Janauari, whose waters and floating islands form a unique ecosystem, a prelude to new explorations.
