After lunch, you'll sail to Piana and its famous calanques, vast caves penetrating the cliffs; then on to the Gulf of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You'll round Capo Cenino before reaching one of Corsica's geological and marine wonders: the Gulf of Girolata, with its Genoese stronghold and fishing village. Girolata Calvi
About 4 hours sailing
After breakfast, head for the Scandola land and sea reserve. A jagged coast bordered by tortured... see+ reefs and islets, the protected Scandola reserve is one of Corsica's most beautiful geological phenomena. In the entire reserve, only daytime anchorage is authorized, allowing you to make a temporary stopover and visit this veritable labyrinth of islets and reefs by dinghy. You can snorkel to contemplate the drop-offs that descend to the abyssal depths of this unspoilt coastline and admire the many fish passing by. Lunch at anchor in Scandola, swimming and departure for Calvi. Calvi, dominated by the Genoese for centuries, is said to be the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. All the town's quays are now lined with lively bars and restaurants. Above, the town's narrow streets wind their way up to the superb citadel. Anchor for the night in front of the marina.

Without doubt, it's from a boat that this coastline offers its finest views, and the privilege of admiring the Scandola nature reserve, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1983 (the only reserve in Europe to be both marine and terrestrial). Volcanic origins, water and wind have created breathtaking landscapes of sheer cliffs, tortured red rocks and totally untouched coves. A little further south, discover the small fishing village of Girolata, one of the few places on the coast that is both inaccessible by road and still inhabited.
