You'll catch sight of Putbus, nicknamed the White City or "Rosenstadt" due to the roses adorning the facades of historic buildings. Stralsund's town hall is a fine example of this typical architecture. You'll also discover St. Nicholas Church, St. Jacob's Church, and St. Catherine's Monastery. You'll discover the courtyard of the Dukes of Pomerania's castle, from which you can enjoy a superb view of the city. Badly damaged during the war, the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style of the late 16th century. You'll see St. John's Basilica, the former town hall, one of Szczecin's most beautiful buildings and the only vestige of the old town, razed to the ground in 1945. A succession of stylized bourgeois houses, recently built behind the town hall, form a striking contrast with the concrete blocks of the Communist era. Return on board.

Berlin, founded in 1237, is still a young city compared to other European metropolises, but its history is extraordinary. The German capital was born in 1307 from the merger of two cities: Berlin and Cölln. Berlin became the royal residence following the... see+ accession to the throne of Frederick III, crowned Frederick I in 1701. But it was during the reign of Frederick II that the architectural reorganization of the city began, with classical buildings designed by architects Knobelsdorf and Schinkel giving the city a new look. The National Socialist dictatorship and World War II reduced the city to ruins. On August 13, 1961, construction began on the Berlin Wall, which separated the city and its population until its destruction on November 9, 1989. Since then, Berlin, once again the capital of Germany, has continued to change and evolve. Depart by bus from Berlin-Spandau to discover the German capital in the company of a local guide, who will spend three hours introducing you to the history, monuments, and many facets of this historic city. You will travel up17 June Avenue, which will take you to the famous Victory Column on the side of the boat, next to which stands a statue of Bismarck, then to the Brandenburg Gate adjacent to the Reichstag and its glass dome. You will arrive at the famous Unter den Linden boulevard and reach Museum Island, home to Berlin's five most prestigious museums, including the Pergamon Museum andthe Altes Museum, which houses the bust of Nefertiti. Behind Museum Island and its classical buildings lies the modern Alexanderplatz and its famous television tower. This is just a glimpse, but you will discover many other monuments that make Berlin one of the most cultural cities in Europe. NOTES The tour is mainly by bus with photo stops. Depending on the guide, there may be small steps and the order of visits may be changed. Times are given as a guide only.
