Lunch in Saqqara, an excellent place to discover Egyptian cuisine. The meal usually includes a mixed grill, koftas, and many small appetizers. Visit to Giza: discover the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, as well as the Tombs of the Nobles. Overnight in Cairo.

Transfer to Cairo airport and flight to Aswan (approximately 1 hour). Welcome at Aswan airport.... see+ Visit to Philae Temple, the unfinished obelisk, and the High Dam. Lunch. Visit to the archaeological site of Elephantine Island. Felucca ride on the Nile to admire the Tombs of the Nobles, the Aga Khan Mausoleum, Plantation Island, and the Old Cataract Hotel. Overnight stay in Aswan. The excursion lasts 7 to 8 hours. Optional activities (please let us know in advance which excursions you would like to do): Nubian Museum, Animalia House Museum Lunch or dinner with a local Nubian family Camel ride to St. Simeon Monastery

Esna is part of the Luxor governorate; the journey between Esna and Luxor takes about an hour. Visit to the temples of Karnak and Luxor. Duration of the visit: approximately 3 to 4 hours. Overnight stay in Luxor.

Departure from the hotel. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of... see+ Hatshepsut. The tour lasts approximately 5 to 6 hours. Lunch at a farmer's house, an excellent opportunity to meet the local population; the meal includes a short introduction to cooking. It is possible to replace this lunch with a meal in a traditional restaurant. Transfer to Luxor airport and flight to Cairo. Arrival at Cairo airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Cairo. Optional: hot air balloon flight at sunrise over the west bank, lasting approximately 2 hours including a 50-minute flight.

Walking tour of downtown Cairo, including Tahrir Square, the birthplace of the great Egyptian revolution, and discovery of the places where major events of the revolution took place. Visit to the Citadel, including Mohamed Ali's alabaster mosque. Walk along El Moez Street, in the heart of medieval Cairo, one of the best-preserved neighborhoods with its medieval Islamic architecture: mosques, houses, markets, and other historical monuments. It is an ideal place to discover the current local Egyptian culture. Visit the Khan El Khalili souk. The tour lasts approximately 9 to 10 hours.

Further information
Dahabiehs are traditional sailing boats that navigate primarily under sail. When wind conditions do not permit it, or on certain stretches of the Nile, the boat may be towed at a distance (approximately 30 m) by a small tugboat, as dahabiehs do not have engines
