Cairo, Egypt's bustling capital, is also known as Umm al-Dunia (‘Mother of the World’).... see+ Africa's most populous city, Cairo fascinates visitors with its contrast between modernity and ancient heritage. Its lively streets, multi-influenced architecture and atmosphere steeped in history offer a real journey back in time. You'll quickly fall in love with Cairo's unique charm and the warmth of its people.
After your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you will settle in before enjoying a restful night, the first stage of your journey to discover Egypt's cultural treasures.

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel before transfer to Cairo airport, depending on flight... see+ times. After check-in and boarding formalities, flight to Luxor, ancient Thebes, nicknamed the city of a hundred gates. Capital of Upper Egypt and of the entire kingdom during the 18th dynasty, Luxor was the political and religious heart of ancient Egypt.
On arrival, transfer to your cruise ship, which will be your floating haven for the next few days. Settle in on board for lunch, followed by time to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Nile.
In the evening, dinner and overnight on board, lulled by the gentleness of the sacred river.

Luxor
After breakfast on board, departure for the Nile crossing to the Theban Necropolis. You will begin... see+ with a visit to the mythical Valley of the Kings, where the sovereigns of the New Kingdom are laid to rest. Here, two royal tombs as well as that of a queen will reveal the richness and mysteries of the Pharaonic tombs, carved out of the rock to escape looting.

Visit to the temple of Medinet Habu, the majestic funerary complex of Ramses III, the last great builder of ancient Egypt. This impressive site is a shining example of monumental art under the Ramessides.
Before returning, stop off at the famous Colossi of Memnon, the imposing remains of the funerary temple of Amenophis III. These 18-metre-high statues, steeped in legend, continue to amaze travellers and historians alike.
Return on board for lunch and a moment of relaxation. In the evening, dinner and overnight on the boat, rocked by the waters of the Nile.

Luxor Edfou Kom Ombo
After breakfast on board, enjoy a moment of relaxation on the boat as we sail to Edfu.
On... see+ arrival, lunch on board before setting off to discover the majestic Ptolemaic Temple of Horus, one of the best preserved in ancient Egypt. Built from 237 BC under Ptolemy III and completed almost two centuries later under Ptolemy XII, it rests on the foundations of an earlier temple dedicated to Thutmes III. This sanctuary is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god and son of Isis and Osiris. As soon as you enter, the great pylon impresses with its immense reliefs representing the king and the gods, while two majestic black granite falcons, symbolising Horus, stand guard.
After this immersion in history, return on board for the sail to Kom Ombo.

Kom Ombo Assouan
After breakfast on board, departure for a visit to the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo, a sanctuary... see+ unique in ancient Egypt in that it combines two temples into one. Built in the Ptolemaic period on the remains of a New Kingdom temple, it stands on a hill overlooking the majestic Nile.
Its distinctive feature lies in its dual cult: on one side, Haroëris, ‘Horus the Elder’, the falcon god, and on the other, Sobek, the crocodile god. This duality is perfectly illustrated by the architecture of the temple, with its two entrances, two parallel corridors and two perfectly symmetrical sanctuaries. At the entrance, the sculpted columns still retain their bright colours, while a chapel dedicated to Hathor houses crocodile mummies, a reminder of the importance of the cult of Sobek.
After this immersion in history, sail to Aswan, capital of Nubia.
Lunch on board, followed by a visit to the Temple of Philae, a jewel of antiquity located on the island of Agilka and nicknamed the ‘Pearl of the Nile’. This sanctuary, entirely dedicated to Isis, was saved from the waters thanks to a huge rescue operation carried out by UNESCO in the 1960s, after the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
The day continues with a visit to a papyrus institute and a jewellery shop, where you can discover the refined art of ancient Egypt through creations in gold, silver and semi-precious stones.
Return on board for dinner and overnight.

Located 260 km south of Aswan, this exceptional site is one of the most impressive in Egypt. Carved directly into the rock, it was saved from the waters by UNESCO in 1969. Here you will discover
The Great Temple of Ramses II, dedicated to Amun-Ra, Ramses and Ptah, and dominated by four majestic 20-metre-high colossi representing the pharaoh himself.
- The Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess and to Nefertari, the great royal wife of Ramses II.
Return to the boat and lunch on board.
Afternoon at leisure or mini-cruise in a felucca, an authentic experience to explore the left bank and the Kitchener or Elephantine islands, true jewels of the Nile. Sailing aboard a felucca, carried by the gentle breeze, allows you to savour the serenity of the river and observe its verdant banks.
Stop off on Kitchener Island for a visit to its botanical garden, where you will discover a magnificent collection of royal palms, sycamores, ebony trees and exotic plants that attract many colourful birds.
Return to the boat, dinner and overnight on board.

Edfou Luxor
The day begins with breakfast on board, followed by a free morning, ideal for relaxing and enjoying... see+ the ship's facilities. At lunchtime, a tasty meal is served on board before setting off to discover the majestic Temple of Karnak. This sanctuary, the most theological ever built, has seen Egypt's greatest kings, such as Sethi I, Ramses II, Thutmosis III and Ramses III, pay homage to the god Amun for over 2,000 years. Its current name, ‘Karnak’, meaning ‘fortress’, dates back to the Islamic conquest.
As an option, the visit continues with Luxor Temple, built to glorify the god Amun Re. Every year, a great procession linked this temple to that of Karnak to celebrate the symbolic marriage of Amun to his wife Mut. Built during the reigns of Amenhotep III and Ramses II, it was once adorned with two monumental obelisks, one of which was donated to France in 1831 by Mehemet Ali and now stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris.
After this fascinating immersion in Pharaonic history, return to the ship for an evening of comfort and relaxation, with a refined dinner followed by a peaceful night on board.

The day begins with breakfast on board, offering a final moment of relaxation on the boat before... see+ departure. After lunch served on board, passengers are transferred to Luxor airport, depending on flight times. Assistance is provided with check-in and boarding formalities before take-off for Cairo. On arrival, a transfer is organised to the hotel, where travellers can make themselves comfortable. The evening continues with a delicious dinner, before a restful night at the hotel, marking the end of a day of transition between Luxor and the Egyptian capital.

After a delicious breakfast, the day begins with a visit to the National Museum of Antiquities, one... see+ of the most impressive in the world. Housing over 250,000 items, it traces five millennia of Egyptian history, from the prehistoric era to the Roman period. Among its treasures, visitors will be able to admire the famous treasure of Tutankhamen, a true jewel of ancient Egypt.
After an invigorating lunch, the exploration continues with a visit to the citadel of Saladin el Ayoubi and the sumptuous mosque of Mehmet Ali, nicknamed the ‘alabaster mosque’ because of the dazzling whiteness of its facades. Built between 1830 and 1849, its centre houses a large clock, presented to Mehmet Ali by the French king Louis-Philippe. Its belvedere offers an exceptional panoramic view of the city of Cairo.
The day ends with an immersion in the enchanting atmosphere of the souks of Khan el Khalili, a colourful bazaar dating back to the 14th century. Wandering through the narrow streets and stalls of copper and mother-of-pearl-encrusted wood crafts, clothes embroidered with pearls and gold and silver threads, promises an authentic and fascinating experience.
In the evening, return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful night, bringing to a close a day rich in discoveries.

The day begins with breakfast before exploring the Giza plateau, the symbol of ancient Egypt. Here... see+ you will discover the pyramids of Kheops, the most imposing, Khephren, which appears higher because of its location, and Mykerinos, which is more modest. Opposite them, the Sphinx, carved from a single block, has watched over these monuments for millennia.
After lunch with a view of the pyramids, the tour continues to Memphis, the former Pharaonic capital, where a few remains remain, including an alabaster sphinx. Then on to Saqqara, a vast necropolis housing the Step Pyramid of Djeser, the first attempt at a pyramid in history.
In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and a final break before departure. Depending on the schedule, the night is spent at the hotel or on board the plane, bringing a fascinating day in Egypt to a close.
