Departure by coach for a guided tour of the city. Amsterdam is one of the world's most extraordinary small cities. From its canals and world-famous museums to its many sights and historical treasures, Amsterdam is one of Europe's most romantic and surprising... see+ capitals. Stop at the Riecker Mill, a windmill located on the banks of the Amstel River to the south of the city. The mill was built in 1636 in the village of Sloten. Pumping of the polder water was taken over by an electric pumping station in 1932, and the mill was subsequently dismantled when the polder was dug up to create, among other things, Lake Het Nieuw Meer. In 1961, the mill was re-erected some 8 kilometers away on the banks of the Amstel, between the Kalfjeslaan and Borcht roads. The banks of the Amstel at this point are much frequented by tourists and walkers, and it's a prime location for an old Dutch windmill. A statue of Rembrandt has been erected next to the windmill as a reminder that the painter drew many pictures on the banks of this river. Then visit the famous flower market. You'll find thousands of fresh flowers, as well as bulbs of the famous tulip (with the gouda ball, probably the best idea for a souvenir gift), shrubs, plants... The countless varieties will make you dizzy. Return by coach.

Departure by coach for Volendam, a charming fishing village on the shores of the IJsselmeer, where some locals still wear traditional costumes. After watching a short film explaining the founding of the town and the construction of the dyke, you will have... see+ free time to explore the village and perhaps taste the local specialty: dried eel! Then you will visit a cheese factory (in or around Volendam) to discover how the famous round Dutch cheese — Gouda — is made. You’ll also be able to taste it, available in all sorts of flavors and ages: Baby Gouda or Old Gouda; cow’s milk or goat’s milk; plain, peppered, cumin, chili, or even smoked... these are just a few of the many possible flavors of this little cheese.
Continue by coach to visit Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum. Discover how the famous Dutch wooden clogs are made and learn about their history dating back to the year 1200! At first, they were just small wooden soles at the heel, evolving into hand-carved and painted models displayed in museums. And today? Clogs are still made, now mostly by machine. Before watching how they’re made, take some time to admire the incredible clog collection — from children’s clogs to wedding clogs. Enjoy some free time in the heart of this Dutch eco-museum to explore all its traditions: windmills, cheese, and typical houses. From 1950 onwards, windmills, houses, and regional utility buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries were moved here to form a village along the Zaan River.
This excursion will allow you to discover authentic Holland and its traditions.
Return to Amsterdam by coach.
Notes: The order of visits may change. Times are approximate. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Departure by bus to Meyer Werft. Founded in 1975, the Meyer shipyard has been owned by the Meyer family for six generations. The first ships built in Papenburg were made of wood... Less than a hundred years later, the first metal steam-powered vessel was... see+ launched, despite the mockery of other shipbuilders who believed that iron could not pitch. The Meyer shipyard is one of the most modern in the world and builds not only some of the most beautiful and luxurious cruise ships of our time, but also ferries, passenger ferries, livestock carriers, container ships, and river cruise ships for the entire world. Located 40 km from the coast, it is thanks to the Ems dam that ocean liners can sail up the Ems River and reach the North Sea. For an hour and a half, an enthusiastic guide will reveal all the secrets of how these floating giants are built . Return to the side of the boat by bus after the Doerpen or Delfzijl lock. NOTES The boat sails during the excursion. The tour is entirely on foot in the shipyard buildings. However, passengers are not actually on the shipyard itself, but view it through large bay windows. Some of the information during the tour is in German (exhibition panels, short introductory film, etc.). The order of visits may be changed. The times are given as a guide only.
Not included $96 / pers.
Set off with your guide, who will show you around the magnificent Hanseatic city of Bremen. It is one of Germany's oldest maritime cities, having been granted market rights in 965 and joining the Hanseatic League in 1358. It was declared a free imperial city... see+ in 1646 and by 1783, Bremen was trading directly with the United States. Bremen is traditionally known as the city of cotton and coffee. Together with its outer harbor of Bremerhaven, Bremen forms an incredibly unified state. The tour will begin in the popular Schnoor district on the banks of the Weser. The Schnoor is Bremen's oldest district, consisting of narrow streets, charming little half-timbered houses, and a large church. "Schnoor" means "thread" in Old German, and it is said that all the houses in the Schnoor are strung together like pearls on a thread. You will continue towards the market square, where you will find St. Peter's Cathedral and the magnificent Renaissance-style Town Hall. The Marktplatz is also home to the statue of Roland, protector of the city, the oldest in Germany, dating from 1404. Behind the Town Hall is a statue that has made the city famous, depicting the famous Bremen Town Musicians from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, where you can make a wish. The tour ends after you enter Bremen's "secret street," Böttcherstrasse, which combines medieval and 1920s expressionist styles, passing under a gate adorned with a gilded fresco of St. Michael, the "Light Bearer." Free time and return to the side of the boat. NOTES Wear comfortable walking shoes: the streets are cobbled. The order of visits may be changed. Times are given as a guide only.

Departure by bus from the northern port area of Hanover accompanied by local guides to discover the capital of Lower Saxony. From the 17th century onwards, Hanover played a significant role in international politics: in 1714, the son of Ernst August of... see+ Hanover ascended the throne of Great Britain as George I; this personal union between the British crown and the principality of Hanover brought considerable prestige to the latter. You will first walk along the famous Baroque gardens of Herrenhausen, then head towards the new Town Hall, dating from the 18th century, where your guides will introduce you to the history of Hanover through four models representing the city at different periods (1875, 1939, 1945, and today). You will continue with a panoramic tour of the city to discover its main monuments: Niki de Saint Phalle's Nanas on the side of the boat of the Leine; the Maschsee, an artificial lake dug in the 1930s by the unemployed of the time to create jobs; the Opera House; the Grand Theater; the ruins of the Aegidien Church, destroyed during the war, which houses the Peace Bell; and many others. You will begin with a visit to Magdeburg Cathedral, the first Gothic cathedral built on German soil, which houses not only the tomb of Emperor Otto the Great but also a number of curiosities, including a charming cloister. The city, located on Saxony-Anhalt's "Romanesque Road," also boasts several other religious buildings: the Cloister of Our Lady, St. Peter's Church, St. John's Church, St. Mary Magdalene Chapel, and more. You will continue with a panoramic tour of the city and discover Magdeburg's second major attraction, the green citadel designed by Friedrich Hundertwasser, which, strangely enough, is not green but candy pink! You will see this former GDR city, rebuilt in a "Soviet" style with gray, living area buildings, but embellished with moldings and reliefs. You will reach the market square where you can admire the Magdeburg Horseman, a golden equestrian statue representing Otto I; the Town Hall and its bronze portal; and the memorial to Otto von Guericke, known for inventing the vacuum pump (Magdeburg hemispheres experiment). The tour will end with some free time before returning to the boat. NOTES We are in former East Germany, very few guides speak French, so the guide may be accompanied by a translator. Depending on the water level on the Elbe, the boat may not be able to pitch in Magdeburg and will stop at the Rothensee lock. Berlin, founded in 1237, is still a young city compared to other European metropolises, but its history is extraordinary. The German capital was born in 1307 from the merger of two cities: Berlin and Cölln. Berlin became the royal residence following the... see+ accession to the throne of Frederick III, crowned Frederick I in 1701. But it was during the reign of Frederick II that the architectural reorganization of the city began, with classical buildings designed by architects Knobelsdorf and Schinkel giving the city a new look. The National Socialist dictatorship and World War II reduced the city to ruins. On August 13, 1961, construction began on the Berlin Wall, which separated the city and its population until its destruction on November 9, 1989. Since then, Berlin, once again the capital of Germany, has continued to change and evolve. Depart by bus from Berlin-Spandau to discover the German capital in the company of a local guide, who will spend three hours introducing you to the history, monuments, and many facets of this historic city. You will travel up17 June Avenue, which will take you to the famous Victory Column on the side of the boat, next to which stands a statue of Bismarck, then to the Brandenburg Gate adjacent to the Reichstag and its glass dome. Behind Museum Island and its classical buildings lies the modern Alexanderplatz and its famous television tower. This is just a glimpse, but you will discover many other monuments that make Berlin one of the most cultural cities in Europe. NOTES The tour is mainly by bus with photo stops. Depending on the guide, there may be small steps and the order of visits may be changed. Times are given as a guide only.
