Optional excursion: Strasbourg by bateau-mouche (1) (pre-booking required before departure).... see+ Transfer to Strasbourg city center and departure by motorboat for a discovery tour of the city. Discover the old town, and sail to Petite France, the famous district so dear to the people of Strasbourg, with its canals, charming colorful half-timbered houses and narrow streets. Continuation to the German Quarter. After the French defeat in 1870, Germany planned to make Strasbourg the capital of the Reichsland of Alsace-Lorraine. Then discover Strasbourg and Europe: the European Parliament, designed to host the institution's monthly sessions, and the Palais des droits de l'Homme, home to the European Court of Human Rights.
Or transfer to downtown Strasbourg for free time.
Afternoon sailing to Vieux-Brisach. After leaving the European capital, the Rhine winds its way through the valley between the Black Forest and the Vosges mountains, taking in the varied landscape of rolling hills and farmland. The cruise follows the Ried river and its natural banks before reaching Vieux-Brisach in the evening.
An Alsatian evening on board, with entertainment by a folk ensemble.

Full-day excursion included: Eguisheim and the wine route. Departure by coach for Eguisheim, an... see+ important wine-growing center. This village, one of the most beautiful in Alsace, hidden in the vineyards, is remarkable for its medieval layout and winding old streets. Stop and visit. Departure for Munster. Situated in the heart of the Vosges mountains, Munster boasts a precious asset for Alsatian gastronomy: the tasty Munster cheese. Visit and free time. Lunch at a farm inn. In the afternoon, discover the Alsace wine route. You'll see Riquewihr, a veritable open-air museum, and Ribeauvillé, the city of the Ménétriers. En route, visit a wine cellar followed by a tasting session.
Return on board for dinner.

Ribeauvillé Breisach Strasbourg
Full-day excursion included: Colmar and the wine route with typical lunch. Departure by coach to... see+ Colmar, one of Alsace's most charming towns. The birthplace of Auguste Bartholdi, creator of the Statue of Liberty, Colmar is an incredible city of art, history and heritage. The city is a feast for the eyes as you stroll through its narrow streets. You'll see the Quai de la Poissonnerie, once home to most of the town's professional fishermen, who joined forces with the boatmen to form a powerful guild, the Tanneurs district and the picturesque Petite Venise, Colmar's jewel in the crown, with its typically Alsatian half-timbered houses lining the river. Continuation to Obernai. Lunch stop en route. In the afternoon, visit Obernai, a medieval town ideally situated on the wine route. This fortified town, surrounded by its ancient ramparts, is full of charm. A predominance of half-timbered houses in shimmering colors lends the town center its elegance. The town hall, the six-bucket well and the Sainte-Odile fountain on the famous market square are all jewels in the town's crown. A special feature of which Obernai is proud and which sets it apart is its 60 m-high Belfry. It's unique in Alsace. We then return to the boat at Schœnau.

Activities

Depart by coach from Vieux-Brisach accompanied by a guide to reach the charming village of Eguisheim. You will explore the narrow streets of Eguisheim by foot as you walk around the old city walls. You can admire the picturesque half-timbered houses in a... see+ variety of colors. You will discover the parish church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul, topped with a stork's nest, as well as the lower castle of Eguisheim, located on Place Saint-Léon, since Eguisheim is the birthplace of Pope Leo IX.The buses will then depart for a farmhouse inn to enjoy a typical marcaire lunch. This meal consists of farm products: pies, smoked meats, stewed potatoes, Munster cheese, and blueberry tart.The afternoon will be devoted to exploring the Alsace Wine Route. You will see magnificent villages such as Kaysersberg, birthplace of Dr. Albert Schweitzer; Bergheim, village of witches; Ribeauvillé, city of minstrels; Riquewihr, pearl of the vineyards... Pass by the tanners' quarter, the covered decks, and the Vauban panoramic terrace. Continue on to the German quarter. After France's defeat in 1870, Germany planned to make Strasbourg the capital of the Reichsland of Alsace-Lorraine. The district, then called the "new town," defined a new urbanism with wide roads, imposing administrative and cultural buildings, and opulent residential buildings; it also reflected a great sense of landscape. Then, discover Strasbourg and Europe: the European Parliament, completed in 1999, is designed to host the monthly sessions of this institution. The building's architecture is based on a combination of circles and ellipses, organized into different, clearly identified volumes. Finally, visit the Palace of Human Rights, which houses the European Court of Human Rights.
