Morning cruise on the Rhône to Avignon.
On-board conference: “The riches of the Rhône Valley:... see+ over 2,500 years of history”.
Grand game CONTEST (participants will answer various questions and the winner will take part in the grand prize draw at the end of the cruise. A 5-day cruise for 1 person on the main deck or a €500 discount on the cruise of your choice).
Afternoon excursion includes: Avignon and the Popes' Palace. An imposing fortress and sumptuous palace, it is the symbol of the power of Christianity in the Middle Ages, and was home to seven pontiffs in the 14th century. As you tour the halls of the world's largest Gothic palace, you'll learn about the lives of the pontiffs and their political and religious power. In particular, you'll be able to admire the great ceremonial halls, chapels and private apartments of the Popes. You'll then taste a selection of local wines before returning on board.
Your evening on board: a festive meal featuring Camargue specialties, followed by an evening of “Guitares de Camargue”. You'll be bewitched by the charm of “gipsy” music, and the rhythms will have you on the dance floor!
Night sail to Viviers.

Morning excursion includes a visit to the Château de Grignan and a truffle farm. The tour begins... see+ on the terrace of the Château de Grignan, overlooking the town. From the terraces and gardens of this 12th-century fortress, you can admire the entire region. It was here that the illustrious Marquise de Sévigné stayed many times, and even ended her days. Next, you'll discover a truffle farm. After cavage (truffle hunting with a truffle dog), you can sample the farm's products: truffles and truffle terrines.
Return on board. Afternoon cruise through the Rhône Valley.
