Surrounded by mountains and fjords, Bergen is a veritable jewel on the south-west coast of Norway.... see+ With its magnificent multicoloured wooden houses, huddled close together, its beautiful mansions clinging to the hillside and its narrow cobbled streets, the city is one of the most beautiful in the kingdom. Its traditional painted wooden architecture contrasts with the blue of the sea and the green of the mountains, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere. Its picturesque quays, lined with ancient warehouses listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are the most obvious vestige of the time when Bergen, capital of the Hanseatic League, was a major trading centre with the rest of Europe. Today, the quays are home to museums, shops, galleries and restaurants, and remain a popular and friendly place to visit. DISCOVER BERGEN
Discover Bergen on foot (approx. 2.5 hours), passing through the central square, the Music Pavilion, King Hakon's Hall, the Rosenkrantz Tower, St Mary's Church, etc. Stroll through the Bryggen district, a UNESCO World Heritage site whose old wooden buildings once belonged to the German merchants of the Hanseatic League. Visit the Schøtstuene museum, dedicated to the history of the Hanseatic League, which was at the heart of trade between the countries of the Baltic Sea from the 12th to the 12th century.

Stroll through the Hanseatic quarter of Bryggen, renowned for its unique architecture. Emblematic of medieval history and culture, its houses are now home to numerous shops, restaurants and artists' and craftsmen's studios. The tour continues with a visit to Mount Floyen (320 m above sea level), accessible by funicular and offering superb views.

Bergen Flam Gudvangen
A small village at the end of a very narrow fjord, Flam is set in an impressive landscape of very... see+ high cliffs dotted with waterfalls. A popular tourist destination since the end of the 19th century, Flam is known for its centuries-old farms and, above all, for its train, which travels along one of the steepest lines in the world in a grandiose setting. In the afternoon, head for Gudvangen, a typical village of Viking origin located at the end of a fjord and a deep valley. Free time or optional excursions from Flam. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board.

THE LITTLE FLAM TRAIN (full day with lunch)
Depart Flam by train for a ride through the high mountains. Arrive in Myrdal and take the train to Voss, with a stop at the Kjosfossen waterfall. Between steep valleys, snow-capped mountains and rivers, the route passes through almost 20 tunnels. After lunch, continue by coach to Gudvangen, crossing the splendid mountain plateaux.

THE VILLAGE OF AURLAND AND THE SOGNEFJORD
Depart Flam by coach for a 2? hour drive along the majestic Sognefjord to Aurland, a traditional village built around a 13th-century church. Stop at the Stegastein viewpoint. Situated 650 m above sea level, this observation platform with its unique architecture offers an unforgettable experience and a breathtaking view of one of the most beautiful fjords in the world. Free time to explore the village before returning to Flam.

THE VOSS CABLE CAR
Depart Flam by coach for Voss, where you will take the brand-new cable car to the top of the mountain at 820 m altitude.
After enjoying the superb panorama, you will take the cable car down and travel by coach to Gudvangen via Stalheim and the Naeroy valley. Stop en route at the Tvindefossen waterfalls, 152 m high.

THE EAGLE ROUTE AND THE HERDAL VALLEY
En route to a grandiose natural setting where the stunning landscape of rugged mountains is enhanced by waterfalls, deep fjords and fertile valleys. The Route de l'Aigle, with its 11 hairpin bends, is breathtaking and vertiginous. Stop at the Aigle bend to enjoy the magnificent panorama of Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue through exceptional landscapes of snow-capped mountains and lush green valleys to the charming village of Eidsdal, located on the
Storfjord. Finally, a walk to one of the famous summer farms and a tasting of farm produce.

ASCENT OF MOUNT DALSNIBBA
Depart on the Nibbevegen road to reach the summit of Mount Dalsnibba at an altitude of 1,495m. On the way, discover the magnificent views over the dark waters of the fjord dominated by the cliffs. On reaching Lake Djupvatnet at an altitude of 1,000 m, the scenery changes to a world of raw rock, ice and snow. On the way back, stop off at the Djupvasshytta chalet on the shores of Lake Djupvatnet for a delicious pastry.

Geiranger Stavanger
In the morning, sail through the waters of southern Norway before arriving in the magnificent bay... see+ of Stavanger. Norway's fourth largest city has also been the heart of the oil industry since 1969, when the first oil field was discovered to the south-west of its coast. The capital of oil, the country's greatest source of wealth, is home to the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. However, there is no ostentation in this friendly university town. Its historic centre is home to numerous museums, St. Svithun's Cathedral, built between 1100 and 1125 in pure Anglo-Norman style, and one of Europe's best-preserved districts of wooden houses, comprising more than 170 white wooden houses. PANORAMIC TOUR OF STAVANGER
Discover the "Iron Age" cathedral, one of the few churches in Norway to have retained its original appearance. Continue with a visit to the "Iron Age" farm, a reconstruction of an agricultural settlement from 550 to 350 BC. Continue through the residential areas and arrive at the Ullandhaug viewpoint. The tour ends with a stroll through Stavanger's Old Town, with more than 170 houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries.

MINI-CRUISE IN LYSEFJORD
Embark on a mini-cruise (approx. 2h30) in the archipelago to observe the Norwegian way of life through this region dotted with idyllic little islands. Sail into the splendid Lysefjord, overlooked by the famous Pulpit Rock. Passing beneath this mythical promontory, which rises to a height of 200 m and is one of Norway's most spectacular wonders. A snack will be served on board or at a stop along the fjord.
