Meet your guide in the morning at Paris Gare du Nord and take the Thalys train to Cologne. Transfer... see+ by coach to the port and boarding in the early afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.

Early morning sail through the romantic landscape of the Loreley with its splendid views. Vineyards... see+ alternate with rocky outcrops dominated by castles to reach Rüdesheim by mid-morning. A famous Rhine Valley wine village and historic capital of the Rheingau region, Rüdesheim still boasts some remarkable historic buildings, such as the Klunkhardshof, the Broemser and Boos castles, as well as the ruins of Ehrenfels Castle. The Siegfried Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments is just a few minutes' walk away. During the visit, you'll be able to admire a rich array of instruments dating back three centuries, from the smallest music box to the piano. After dinner, you can take advantage of your stopover until 10pm to soak up the magical atmosphere of the Christmas market. Christmas markets are an integral part of German culture. There's not a town that doesn't have its own, and they're all sure to have the most beautiful and liveliest. So let yourself be carried away by the festive atmosphere and warm up with a glass of mulled wine or some of the sweets on offer at all the stalls, which are magnificently decorated for the occasion.

Early in the morning, the ship calls at Frankfurt. Visit the city, which, with its major... see+ international agencies, immense skyscrapers and multicultural population, makes Frankfurt Germany's financial hub. Alongside this, you'll also discover a city of art and history, with magnificent 15th-century buildings and sculptures, as well as following in the footsteps of the famous writer Johann Wolfgang Goethe. Must-sees include the Gothic collegiate church of St Bartholomew, Goethe's house, a completely renovated 17th-century building containing many original objects and family portraits from the German poet and author's youth, the old town with the Römerberg, the square where the Fountain of Justice stands and numerous picturesque 15th-century statues. This is also where the magnificent Christmas market is held every year, which you will have the opportunity to visit. Return to the boat at the end of the morning. Departure at midday. Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing and arrival in Mainz at around 5pm. Visit to Mainz. The birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg, Mainz is dominated by the high towers of its cathedral, which was built in the Romanesque period and later added Gothic and Baroque features. The old town is criss-crossed by narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses, which you can explore on foot. You can also admire the thousand-year-old Saint-Martin cathedral. After dinner, free time to stroll around the Christmas market. Departure at 23:00.

Mainz Bingen Koblenz
Early morning arrival in the village of Bingen, located at the entrance to the Romantic Rhine... see+ Valley and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its castle, historic centre and vineyards, the town traces eleven centuries of history in a natural landscape closely linked to legends. With your guide, you will explore the local history through the ruins of the medieval Klopp Castle, the Mäuseturm (Mouse Tower), the Basilica of Saint Martin, the Drusus Bridge... as well as the remains of the ancient Roman fortifications. The town was the birthplace of Hildegard von Bingen, a German mystic and abbess from the Middle Ages who was also a musician and doctor, and whose work still resonates today. Bingen has influenced writers, painters and composers for centuries. Set sail at the end of the morning for the city of Koblenz, where you can enjoy a magnificent cruise through a bucolic landscape, ideal for daydreaming in the midst of these winter landscapes. Arrival in Koblenz at around 15:30.
Visit the city, one of Germany's most beautiful heritage sites, bathed by the Deutsches Eck, located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers and named after the Teutonic Knights. Four hills, vineyards and woods surround the town, whose superb churches and castles, ancient courtyards and stately town houses bear witness to more than 2,000 years of history. You will be immersed in the history of the city, which was conquered by the Franks, chosen as a residence by the prince electors, occupied by the French and governed by Prussia. After dinner, stroll around the Christmas market before setting sail at 9.30pm.

Koblenz Cologne
After breakfast, disembarkation in Cologne. Once a major Roman city, Cologne flourished in the... see+ Middle Ages. You will visit the Gothic cathedral, an imposing monument influenced by French art, which was not completed until 1880. It is home to a number of masterpieces, including a 10th-century cross, the altarpiece of the Adoration of the Magi painted by Lochner around 1440, sculpted choir stalls and stained-glass windows from the early 16th century, and above all the extraordinary shrine of the Magi. Visit to the Wallraf-Richartz Museum: here classical European art takes pride of place, with Old Masters such as Rubens, Rembrandt and Claude Lorrain represented as well as French and German Impressionists. Lunch at leisure and transfer by coach to the station. Return by train to Paris at the end of the day.
