Catamaran cruise on the Costa Smeralda

Last updated on 22 January 2024

Why take a cruise on the Costa Smeralda?

Taking a cruise on the Costa Smeralda is an ideal and comfortable option for discovering the north of the island as well as the south of Corsica. You will have the opportunity to explore the region's iconic anchorages and islands such as La Maddalena or Bonifacio while enjoying a unique cruise. Whether you are a couple, alone or with children, this cruise is suitable for everyone and you will even have the opportunity to meet people both on board and on the side of the boat during the visits.

What do our cruises on the Costa Smeralda involve?

Our cruise packages on the Costa Smeralda

The Costa Smeralda cruises we offer are all-inclusive cruises that allow you to discover many sites in a unique way. The concept is to rent one or more cabins on a boat with a crew that will take great care of you. So you share the boat with other people, but you have your own private and comfortable space.

What types of boats are available for a cruise on the Costa Smeralda?

You will sail and live for a few days at the side of the boat on a 54 or 62 foot catamaran. These powerful catamarans are designed for long voyages, with exceptionally comfortable spaces that are fully equipped and designed for your well-being: open-plan kitchen, spacious living room, as well as a lounge area and sunbathing mattresses ideal for enjoying moments of relaxation on deck. Each cabin is equipped with amenities and offers guests all the comfort they need during their stay.

What activities are available on a Costa Smeralda cruise?

During the cruise, numerous nautical activities are planned, such as kayaking, paddle boarding or diving sessions, as well as daily visits to the region's iconic islands and towns.

How much does a cruise on the Costa Smeralda cost?

For two people, the price can vary depending on the desired period and the chosen cabin. Here is a dead reckoning of the price for an 8-day cruise.

Mid-season

(April and September)

High season

(from June to August)

Standard double cabin2,500 USD3,400 USD
Superior double cabin3,000 USD4,000 USD
  • The price includes: the flights indicated in the program, most meals (specified in the description of the package), a French-speaking guide, sheets and towels, and the activities, transfers and hotels included in the program.
  • The price does not include: flights not included in the program, tips, activities and meals not included in the program.

What are the must-sees to discover during a cruise on the Costa Smeralda?

  • La Maddalena: Located to the north-east of the Sardinian coast, not far from the social whirl of the Costa Smeralda, is the La Maddalena archipelago. This group of 63 islands and islets includes the island of La Maddalena, Caprera, Budelli, Spargi and Razzolli, to name but five. Since 1996, the archipelago has also been a national park, a protected marine and land area. You will need a permit to sail there!
  • Tavolara: Less well known and therefore less touristy and less crowded, this area offers all the charm of Sardinia in peace and quiet. The rather wild island of Tavolara has only one inhabited center, the Spalmatore di Terra marina. Trekking and snorkeling enthusiasts will feel right at home here!

When to go on a cruise on the Costa Smeralda?

The climate on the Costa Smeralda is typically Mediterranean with little rain. Temperatures are around 20-30° C during the summer, with slightly higher temperatures in the south of the island. The water stays around 20° C during the summer, but also in September and October, while April tends to be a cold month in Sardinia.

How do I book a cruise on the Costa Smeralda?

To book your cruise on the Costa Smeralda, you can make a booking request from our website. Once we have received your request, an advisor will contact you by telephone to understand your plans (duration, budget and activities). They will then send you cruise suggestions by email.
