From 3:00 p.m., you will be welcomed on the side of the boat of our charming river cruise, the... see+ result of a collaboration between German and Laotian partners, guaranteeing a high-end and authentic journey. Settle into your cabin and discover the spacious decks and cozy lounge. Your first evening promises to be culturally rich: you will attend a traditional Laotian dance performance and a baci ceremony. To celebrate the start of this unique adventure, you will enjoy a welcome dinner carefully prepared by the crew.

Luang Prabang Kuang Si Xayaboury
Early in the morning, you will have the opportunity to participate in Tak Bat, the traditional... see+ almsgiving ceremony in the streets of Luang Prabang. Dozens of monks and novices dressed in their orange robes silently wind their way through the alleys of the old town. Your guide will then take you through the bustling morning market, where the air is filled with the aromas of exotic spices, locally grown tea, and freshly brewed Laotian coffee. During breakfast on the side of the boat, the enchanting panorama of Luang Prabang will unfold before your eyes. At the end of the morning, we will reach the peaceful village of Ban Muang Khai, where traditional tuk-tuks will be waiting to take you to the spectacular Kuang Si Falls. Here, crystal-clear turquoise waters cascade down several levels, forming beautiful natural pools, perfect for a refreshing swim in a heavenly setting.
Near the waterfalls is the Free the Bears rescue center, dedicated to the protection and conservation of sun bears and moon bears (Malayan and Tibetan), species threatened with extinction throughout Southeast Asia. You will learn more about the considerable efforts being made to rehabilitate these adorable creatures.
In the afternoon, we will continue our cruise towards the impressive Xayaburi Dam, Laos' largest hydroelectric power plant, an engineering masterpiece that supplies much of the country with energy. In the evening, our boat will water-jet-powered motorized craft at a secluded sandy beach, where you will spend the night.

Xayaboury Ban Don Sai ngam
This morning, we will arrive at the charming little village of Ban Don Saingam, nestled... see+ picturesquely between the hills along the Mekong River. After a walk of about 30 minutes or—depending on the season—a ride on a local tractor, we will arrive at an almost forgotten cave. Equipped with flashlights, we will explore its hidden depths and discover its secrets before returning to our boat. During the afternoon, we will continue our journey along the river, enjoying the magnificent views and, with a little luck, you will be able to watch local fishermen water-jet-powered motorized craft casting their nets on the riverbanks. At the end of the day, you can take part in the informative and entertaining program offered by your cruise director. In the evening, we will berth a little earlier to prepare our famous barbecue on the riverbanks, under a starry sky and in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Ban Don Sai ngam Salakham
As we continue down the river, the landscape changes: mountains give way to flat terrain and the... see+ Mekong widens, revealing fascinating rock formations. This part of the river is the perfect opportunity to watch our experienced captains master the powerful waters of the Mekong. In the early afternoon, we will pass a golden statue of Buddha perched on a hill, marking the beginning of Thailand along the riverbank.
Shortly after, we will arrive in Salakham, a bustling trading town renowned for its wood and spice markets. A stroll through the local market will immerse you in the colors, sounds, and smells of local crafts and give you an authentic glimpse into the traditions of the region. In the evening, we will drop anchor for the night near a small village.

Salakham Mekong
As we leisurely descend the majestic Mekong River, nicknamed "the mother of all waters" by locals,... see+ we will arrive in the capital of Laos, Vientiane. Depending on the river level, the last leg of the journey will be either on the side of your cruise ship or on the side of a traditional Laotian boat, followed by a land transfer to the capital. In the evening, you will enjoy our farewell dinner on the side of the boat of the Mekong, a perfect opportunity to share memories and highlights of this unforgettable trip.

Mekong Vientiane
After a final breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye to the crew and check out. You will then... see+ have the option of taking a guided tour of the bustling city of Vientiane to discover the most fascinating sites of the Laotian capital. We will visit the iconic Pha That Luang stupa, an architectural masterpiece and symbol of Laotian heritage, and explore the historic Ho Phra Keo temple. The imposing Patuxai monument, often referred to as the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane, stands proudly and embodies the unique charm of the city.
Our adventure together will end with your transfer to the airport or your hotel in Vientiane.
