Your journey will begin at around 1:00 p.m. when you are picked up at the airport or directly at... see+ your hotel in Luang Prabang. You will board the side of your exclusive cruise ship, the result of a collaboration between German and Laotian partners, guaranteeing a high-end and authentic trip. Settle into your cabin and explore the spacious decks and cozy lounge. After check-in, you will discover the charming old town of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a living museum steeped in history. Climb Mount Phou Si and enjoy breathtaking views of the Mekong and Khan rivers and the surrounding mountains. To celebrate the start of this unique adventure, you will enjoy a welcome dinner carefully prepared by the crew.

Early in the morning, you will have the opportunity to participate in Tak Bat—the traditional... see+ offering in the streets of Luang Prabang. Dozens of monks and novices dressed in orange wind their way through the narrow streets of the old town. After a gourmet breakfast on the side of the boat, we will start the day with a guided tour of the city that will take you to Wat Xieng Thong, the city's most famous temple and a masterpiece of Laotian architecture. We will then continue our exploration with a visit to the National Museum, housed in the former royal palace, where you will discover the fascinating history of Luang Prabang. We will then visit a local craft village. Back on the boat, this is where your expedition on the Mekong River really begins. From the very first hours of sailing, marvel at the wild splendor of northern Laos: lush greenery, mist-covered mountains, and isolated villages nestled along the river.

Luang Prabang Mekong
As you continue down the river, the landscape will transform into a breathtaking setting,... see+ interrupted only by the impressive view of the Xayabouri Dam—the largest hydroelectric power plant in Laos. This is where your boat will turn around and begin its journey back upstream, heading toward a traditional Hmong village. In this remote village, you will have the rare opportunity to meet the locals and visit the local school, supported by generous contributions from Mekong cruise travelers. These moments of warm exchange will give you a privileged insight into Hmong culture.
Back on the side of the boat, you can enjoy a refreshing cocktail at sunset on the deck, or immerse yourself in the cruise director's captivating stories and information about the onboard program.

Mekong Kuang Si Luang Prabang
In the morning, a tuk-tuk will take you to the famous Kuang Si Falls. These bright turquoise... see+ waterfalls cascade down several levels, forming natural pools that are ideal for a refreshing swim. Right next to the waterfalls is the "Free the Bears" rescue center, dedicated to the protection and conservation of sun and moon bears (Malayan and Tibetan bears), an endangered species throughout Southeast Asia. Here you will learn more about the considerable efforts being made to rehabilitate these adorable creatures.
In the evening, we will berth a little earlier to prepare our famous barbecue on the banks of the river, under a starry sky and in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Luang Prabang Pak Ou Luang Prabang
After breakfast, we will explore the legendary Pak Ou caves, home to thousands of small Buddha... see+ statues placed there by pilgrims over the centuries. From this sacred place, you will have the opportunity to take a hike through the jungle that will lead you to the local village of Ban Muang Keo. If you prefer a more leisurely approach, a short boat ride will take you to the village. Once there, you will witness a demonstration of a fascinating traditional craft: the distillation of Lao-Lao, the famous rice whiskey of Laos. Miss Somechan Khonpachith, who has perfected this art, will not only share with you the secrets of this ancestral technique, but will also invite you to a tasting. Back on the side of the boat, you will enjoy a delicious lunch as your boat resumes its journey to Luang Prabang. The afternoon will be free to explore the city at your own pace. Before dinner, you will return to the upper deck of the boat to enjoy a demonstration of traditional Lao dance and participate in a baci ceremony.
