The splendid Maltese capital alone justifies a trip.... see+ Perched on a rocky spur, you will appreciate the geometry of the streets and its remarkable religious buildings. As the capital of the Order of Malta, the city was entirely created by and for the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem and bears full testimony to the history of the Order. You will visit Saint John's Co-Cathedral, a masterpiece of Baroque art, and the Grand Master's Palace.
Afterwards, you are free to explore Valletta at your own pace. The ship will set sail for Sicily. The crew will invite you to the sun deck for an aperitif as you leave the port of Valletta, one of the most beautiful ports in the world.

In the morning, included excursion: Agrigento, one of the most beautiful Greek cities in Sicily.... see+ You will discover the "Valley of the Temples," one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. This site is home to a series of imposing Doric temples built in the 5th century BC, including the Temple of Concordia, considered the best-preserved Doric temple in the world. Then, you will explore the charming historic center of Agrigento with its cobbled streets, churches, and picturesque squares.

In the afternoon, included excursion: Trapani and the salt marsh nature reserve.... see+ Located at the western tip of Sicily, you will discover Trapani, nicknamed the "city of a hundred churches." You will explore the streets of the old town, admire the Ligny Tower, and walk along the Mura di Tramontana, the former defensive perimeter stretching from Piazza Mercato del Pesce to Bastione Conca. Finally, you will discover the Trapani salt marsh nature reserve, known for its pure and flavorful salt, which has been harvested for millennia. Even today, the salt is handcrafted and sold at a premium price.

Morning: Palermo. You will discover Palermo, the capital of Sicily, built in... see+ a stunning bay. It is the former city of "One Thousand and One Nights," a city of sumptuous palaces and lush gardens. You will stroll through its historic center and see its cathedral (exterior), with its beautiful amber-colored façade and long row of crenellations. You will visit the Church of Martorana, one of the most renowned Norman-style churches in Palermo, with its refined Byzantine mosaics.
Afternoon: Monreale. Listed by UNESCO for its artistic and architectural significance, Monreale reflects the influence of many peoples and has taken shape over the centuries under various rulers, resulting in a fantastic blend of styles. You will visit its magnificent cathedral, a stunning construction that represents the pinnacle of Arab-Norman art.

Pompeii. Emotion will overcome you as you wander through the streets,... see+ temples, forums, and villas adorned with sumptuous mosaics. Visiting Pompeii is like a journey back to the origins of our civilization.
Or Herculaneum. Like Pompeii, Herculaneum was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Discover the famous houses of ancient Herculaneum, including the renowned House of the Mosaic Atrium.
Naples. Between masterpieces and hidden treasures, you will discover highlights such as Old Naples or the Royal Palace. In the oldest district of Naples, stroll along Via San Gregorio Armeno, famous for its many workshops and small shops displaying Italian nativity figurines (pastori) throughout the year. During the Christmas season, the atmosphere becomes magical. Visit the cloister of Santa Chiara, which houses a beautiful 18th-century nativity scene depicting everyday life with figurines dressed in ancient attire.
