In the morning, optional excursion: the windmills of Kinderdijk. Departure by coach to the... see+ Kinderdijk windmills. This is the only place in the world where you can see so many windmills in one place. The site has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. You will discover nineteen magnificent windmills, built in the 18th century and part of a water management system to combat flooding. You will have the opportunity to enter a mill, as some are open to the public.
In the afternoon, optional excursion: The Hague and audio-guided tour of the Mauritshuis. Nicknamed the "jewel box," The Hague has works by the most important painters of the Netherlands and Flanders from the 17th and 18th centuries. You will admire Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring," Rembrandt's "The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaas Tulp," and Fabritius' "The Goldfinch." You can also see works by Rubens, Jan Steen, and Frans Hals. For afternoon tea, you will be offered a tasting of stroopwafels, two thin waffles filled with caramel syrup, originally from Gouda. Gala evening. Night cruise to Amsterdam.

In the morning, complimentary excursion: Amsterdam by tram and the Jordaan district. On the side of... see+ the boat, you will cross Amsterdam's city center from Leidseplein to Dam Square, not forgetting all the canals that together form a belt around Amsterdam that is unique in the world. Continue with your feet in the Jordaan district. This picturesque district, with its countless narrow streets and trendy shops, is also associated with many famous figures such as Rembrandt, Queen Beatrix, and Anne Frank. Finally, visit the Westerkerk, the largest Protestant church in Holland (subject to religious services). In the afternoon, optional excursion: audio-guided tour of the Rijksmuseum. This museum, world-famous for its impressive collection of works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Hals, offers a museum tour designed as a historical and artistic journey through the Golden Age. Furniture, ceramics from the Dutch East India Company, gold and silverware, and sterns are displayed in new, bright, and airy rooms.

Amsterdam by tram and Jordaan
On the side of a tram, you will travel through Amsterdam city center from Leidseplein to Dam Square. You will admire Museumplein with the Stedelijk, Van Gogh, and Rijksmuseum museums, then pass through the narrow Leidsestraat street and along the famous... see+ flower market, passing Spui and numerous monumental buildings. Not to mention all the canals that together form a unique canal belt around Amsterdam. Continue on foot in the Jordaan district, one of the most famous neighborhoods in Holland. This picturesque neighborhood, with its countless alleys, trendy shops, fashionable restaurants, and traditional cafés, is also associated with many famous figures such as Rembrandt, Queen Beatrix, and Anne Frank. Finally, visit the Westerkerk, the largest Protestant church in Holland. This magnificent building has an 85-meter bell tower that dominates the entire city. NOTES The order of visits may be changed. Set off on an excursion on the side of the boat of Lake IJsselmeer to discover typical Dutch villages. Your first stop will be Edam. Although the first thing that comes to mind is cheese, Edam is above all an authentic village where you will find pleasant... see+ shopping streets and terraces. As early as the 12th century, farmers and fishermen settled on the side of the boat of the IJ River. This simple colony later grew into the town of Edam, which enjoyed increasing prosperity until the 17th century. You will visit the 18th-century cheese warehouses and taste the famous cheese. Continue to Volendam, a famous fishing village, for some free time to explore. You will stroll through the old quarters, where you will find authentic houses that have attracted many painters and artists. NOTES The order of visits may be changed. Departing from Rotterdam, head to The Hague. The only major city with a beach located directly on the North Sea coast, it is the seat of the Dutch government. A short panoramic tour will allow you to discover numerous monuments, chic hotels, and the political... see+ heart of the country. The seat of the Dutch government is located in the historic Binnenhof, and the King's working palace is the Noordeinde. Then, take an audio-guided tour of the Mauritshuis, nicknamed the "Jewelry Box." Here you can admire works by the most important painters of the Netherlands and Flanders from the 17th and 18th centuries, such as Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaas Tulp, and Fabritius' The Goldfinch. The windmills of Kinderdijk
Departure by coach to the Kinderdijk windmills. This is the only place in the world where you can see so many windmills together. This is one of the reasons why the Kinderdijk windmills have been listed as a World Heritage Site since 1997. The main function... see+ of the windmills was to pump out excess water. From the 11th century onwards, the peat-rich Alblasserwaard region (a natural area in the south-east of South Holland) was cleared. This mainly involved draining excess water from the peat soil into the surrounding rivers. Thousands of ditches were dug for this purpose in the neighboring meadows. However, drainage accentuated the subsidence of the peat, so that over time the inhabitants were forced to drain the water using wind force. This is why windmills appeared as early as the Middle Ages. Around 1868, steam and electric pumping stations took over from the mills, but even today the sails of the latter are still turning. There are 19 mills in total at the Kinderdijk mill site. It consists of eight stone mills in Nederwaard dating from 1738, eight wooden mills in Overwaard dating from 1740, two stone mills in the Nieuw-Lekkerland polder dating from 1760, and one mill in the Blokweer polder. The latter mill was built in 1521 and unfortunately destroyed by fire in 1997. Every effort has been made to restore the mill to its original condition. A visit to one of the mills will give you an idea of the life and work of a miller. Please note: the order of visits may be changed - times are given as a guide only.

You will visit the Rijksmuseum, Holland's national museum par excellence, where the country's history is told, from the Middle Ages to the present day. Here you can admire world-famous works from the Dutch Golden Age, such as Rembrandt van Rijn's "The Night... see+ Watch" and Johannes Vermeer's "The Milkmaid." NOTES Audio-guided tour.
