Sailing itineraries

Oslo Longyearbyen
After a flight from Oslo, your adventure begins with a night in the northernmost town in the world:... see+ Longyearbyen.

A colorful frontier settlement with more snowmobiles than residents, Longyearbyen is a unique place on the edge of the Arctic wilderness. If you have some time, explore the town before enjoying a free and peaceful evening.

Longyearbyen
After breakfast, it’s time to explore Longyearbyen, a town perfect for a walking tour. Stroll... see+ along the main street, where you might spot a wandering Svalbard reindeer. This wild animal, though curious, is surprisingly unafraid of humans.

Before boarding the ship in the afternoon to continue your Arctic adventure, take part in an included excursion and let yourself be amazed by this remarkable region, inspired by polar bears at the top of the world.

Activities: Includes: Excursions to discover Longyearbyen, see+

Longyearbyen Ny Alesund
Today, you will experience the serenity of Ny-Ålesund and its surrounding fjords, including... see+ Krossfjord and Kongsfjord. Enjoy a true day of rest, as the proximity of the Norwegian Mapping Authority’s geodetic station requires us to turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Ny-Ålesund, one of the northernmost settlements in the world and a former mining town, served as the departure point for Roald Amundsen’s expeditions to the north aboard his airship Norge. Today, it is an international hub for scientific and climate research, yet it has preserved the traces of its past.

Exploring the fjords around Ny-Ålesund will immerse you in stunning icy landscapes. Adventure awaits as we take every opportunity to launch our expedition boats, go ashore for hikes, or navigate along majestic glaciers.

Activities: Includes: Discovery of Ny-Ålesund, Exploration of the Krossfjord and Kongsfjord, see+

Ny Alesund North West National Park
Over the next three days, you will explore the natural beauty and raw tundra of the Northwest... see+ Spitsbergen National Park. In this wild landscape of steep mountains, austere glaciers, and magnificent islands, we will search for Arctic wildlife: whales, seals, walruses, and reindeer. With a bit of luck, we may even spot the elusive polar bear from the ship's observation deck. In the stunning Kongsfjord region, you might witness impressive glaciers calving icebergs into the sea.

North West National Park Sailing to the ice floe
If ice conditions allow, we will sail north and cross the 80th parallel to explore the sea ice and... see+ its ever-changing landscape. The transition zone between the ice cap and the sea is a magical yet fleeting place, with waters filled with pack ice and drifting icebergs. From our ship, you might spot seals and walruses lounging on the glistening ice. If conditions permit, we will launch our expedition boats for an unforgettable experience close to the floating ice.
Activities: Includes: Seal and walrus observation, see+

Sailing to the ice floe
The sea ice is not a fixed boundary: it shifts with the seasons and weather, so this visit is not... see+ guaranteed, though we will try. In summer (from May to August), it retreats further toward the pole, potentially putting it out of reach. In that case, we will explore the deep fjords, mighty glaciers, and enchanting landscapes of the Svalbard coast, which are equally impressive. Between late July and early August, wildflowers bloom, covering the landscape in a burst of color.
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Sailing to the ice floe Spitsbergen
At this stage of your journey, anything is possible. Pure adventure awaits. If sea ice conditions... see+ allow, we will continue eastward to explore the wild northeast of Svalbard, before heading south to attempt a full circumnavigation of the archipelago.
Activities: Includes: Exploration of the East Coast of Spitsbergen, see+

Spitsbergen
We might head towards the vast Bråsvellbreen glacier to admire the waterfalls plunging into the... see+ icy depths or launch our expedition boats around Kvitøya. Each day in the east will bring new opportunities to spot polar bears roaming the ice. Further south, we could aim for Freemansundet and Kapp Lee or take our small expedition boats to explore Edgeøya or Barentsøya.

Spitsbergen
True to the spirit of expedition, our final itinerary will depend on the day's conditions. Awaken... see+ your inner explorer with hikes, kayaking adventures, and thrilling landings, and keep an eye out for wildlife, including polar bears, walruses, guillemots, and gulls.

We will follow a flexible route through deep fjords and towering mountains in search of remarkable Arctic wildlife.

Spitsbergen Hornsund
