Rurutu, one of the two largest uplifted atolls in French Polynesia, is unique due to its geological... see+ structure, which surprises visitors who do not expect such landscapes in the South Pacific. Basalt and limestone cliffs dotted with caves once inhabited by islanders, a volcanic interior with lush tropical jungle, white sand beaches, and stunning bays offer breathtaking views. Rurutu is renowned throughout Polynesia for the exceptional quality of its woven crafts, such as beautiful hats, bags, baskets, and mats made from pandanus leaves and other natural materials. With the ship anchored off Rurutu, passengers will disembark after lunch on board via barges at the Moerai dock, where they will be welcomed with local songs. Free time in the peaceful village of Moerai.

On the second day, a floral welcome accompanied by Polynesian songs and rhythms on their ukuleles,... see+ guitars, and drums will captivate you. Board the trucks, it’s time to visit the island’s wonders. Basalt and limestone cliffs dotted with caves once inhabited by islanders, a lush tropical jungle, white sand beaches, and beautiful bays offer breathtaking views. The fertile soil and cooler climate of the island are ideal for growing coffee and taro. A traditional and typical Rurutu meal will be served at the mayor’s house, with the opening of the “umu’ai”. Enjoy the white sand beach of Vitaria and its lagoon. Every year, from August to September, humpback whales can be seen and heard at Rurutu, where they come to mate and give birth. With the ship being there in September, it should be a feast for your eyes and ears. This activity is offered as an option with a visit to the Taupe’e cave, nicknamed “the monster’s mouth,” for experienced hikers (sign-up at reception).

Rurutu Rimatara
The ship docks at the “Taanini” wharf. A small circular volcanic plateau, Rimatara was the last... see+ island of the archipelago to be discovered in the 19th century by Captain Samuel Pinder Henry. It has preserved its old traditions, including its own dialect. It is home to an endemic bird, the amazing and colorful Kuhl's lorikeet, the “Ura,” also found in the Cook Islands. After passing through a purification smoke — an ancient welcome tradition — set off to discover the main villages of Amaru, Anapoto, and Motuaura by minibus or truck. In the old cemetery of Amaru, facing the sea, lies the lineage of kings and queens who once ruled Rimatara. An ancient legend warns against making faces in front of the royal tomb, as one risks staying disfigured for life. A barbecue will be served on Motuaura beach. Its crystal-clear waters invite snorkeling and exploration. Covered in taro fields and fruit trees, Rimatara is a blooming garden that also has a freshwater well. The discovery of the red parakeet “Ura” is offered as an optional activity (sign-up at reception).

Rimatara Tubuai
The ship arrives by barge at the Bloody Bay dock. Passengers are welcomed at the town hall with... see+ flower garlands around their necks and traditional local music. You’ll be able to attend demonstrations of local art and crafts, such as pandanus leaf weaving and shell necklace making, unique to the island.
The island’s fertile soil and cooler climate are ideal for growing cabbage, lettuce, and potatoes.
Activities of the day include visiting the island’s cultural sites by truck: the “PO TUI TUI” marae, Fort George — the first refuge of the Bounty mutineers from July to September 1789 — and Bloody Bay, witness to battles between the islanders and the mutineers.
Lunch will be served on board. The beach of Bloody Bay is ideal for snorkeling and exploration. Certified scuba diving is offered as an optional activity (sign-up at reception).

At sea - Polynesia Rapa
As you approach Rapa, accessible only by sea, the captain may announce: “Welcome to Rapa. Next... see+ stop, Antarctica.” Rapa, the little sister of Easter Island, is the southernmost and most isolated of the Austral Islands. Shaped like a crescent, it features a jagged coastline with 12 deep bays. Its climate is temperate—no coral or coconut palms—but fruits and vegetables such as apples, peaches, and nectarines grow there. The ship docks at Ahurei. Passengers are welcomed with flower garlands and greeted with the sounds and rhythms unique to Rapa. Trucks will take you to the cultural center, where you’ll discover how the “mamas” craft local items like reed hats and baskets (a delicate material) and bamboo handicrafts. A local meal will be served ashore. On Rapa, a 2.5-hour hike to Fort Morango Uta is offered. Polynesian evening with plancha buffet around the pool (Deck 7) or in the Restaurant (Deck 4), depending on weather conditions.

It is said that Raivavae is the "Bora Bora of the past" and that its lagoon is the most beautiful... see+ in Tahiti and its islands. A jewel preserved by its inhabitants, the island is a true Garden of Eden where visitors quickly fall under its spell. With the ship anchored offshore, passengers disembark by barge on Mahanatoa beach, greeted with flower garlands and the sound of Raivavae songs and rhythms. A bus tour of the island follows—don’t miss the “Smiling Tiki” and the marae scattered around the island. Locals will treat you to a traditional Raivavae buffet on Mahanatoa beach. Enjoy some free time to stroll through the village or explore its lush lagoon with mask and snorkel. An optional hike to Mount Hiro is also available (sign-up at reception).

Raiatea Bora Bora
In the Polynesian Triangle, Raiatea, formerly known as Havai’i, is considered the cradle of... see+ Polynesian civilization. As the first Polynesian island to be settled by seafarers and navigators, this is where all migrations to the three corners of the triangle—New Zealand, Hawaii, and Easter Island—began. The ship will dock, and passengers will be welcomed with a tiare behind the ear and the sounds of “to’ere” drums. Buses will be waiting to take you to visit the most spectacular marae in the Polynesian Triangle: Taputapuatea, a 1,000-year-old open-air temple now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is considered the religious and spiritual center of all Polynesia. After lunch is served, you’ll have the afternoon to explore the town of Uturoa, its shops, and the quayside handicrafts.

Bora Bora Papeete
Upon arriving in the opalescent blue and green lagoon of Bora Bora, known worldwide, you’ll be... see+ greeted by the majestic Mount Otemanu, the island’s highest peak. Enjoy a relaxing beach day and a barbecue on a private motu surrounded by crystal-clear waters—Motu Tapu. You may also choose from optional activities: scuba diving, a lagoon tour by boat and outrigger canoe, or swimming with sharks and rays! Bora Bora was a U.S. military outpost during World War II, and remnants like cannons and bunkers can still be seen on the island tour. Evening departure for Papeete.
