Nicknamed the “Garden City,”... see+ Singapore lies at the southernmost tip of Malaysia. You’ll discover the incredible vibrancy of this city-state in Marina Bay. Not far from there, the historic center offers an unusual blend of neoclassical buildings and contemporary skyscrapers. Adorned with plant sculptures, the sidewalks of Orchard Road are also lined with countless shopping malls. The colorful markets of Chinatown and Little India will give you the chance to grab a bite to eat at a Hawker Center, a typical street food spot in the city.
Between the two neighborhoods, don’t miss your chance to connect with history by visiting Raffles Landing Site. It was here that Sir Raffles, the British founder of the city, is said to have landed one day in January 1819.

A colossal explosion, heard more than 4,000 km away, obliterated Krakatoa.
Since 1927, eruptions have gradually given rise to a new volcano, Anak Krakatoa, literally “the child of Krakatoa.” Still active, periods of calm alternate with spectacular Strombolian eruptions. The level of volcanic activity will determine the day’s schedule, which may include a Zodiac outing.
