Anchorage Seward
After your arrival at Anchorage Airport, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Seward. Our route crosses... see+ the Kenai Peninsula, considered by Alaskans and visitors as one of the most impressive wilderness landscapes in the world. The transfer will take you through this breathtaking landscape to the Pacific coast where our expedition ship awaits.
Our embarkation point, Seward, is the only ice-free deep-water port with road, rail, and air connections to Alaska’s interior. Once aboard the ship, settle into your cabin and explore the spacious and comfortable expedition vessel where you will stay for nearly two weeks.

Seward Baie du Prince-William
Today’s day is dedicated to glaciers. Prince William Sound is home to 150 of these amazing rivers... see+ of ice, including 17 incredible tidewater glaciers. Your captain will choose the best spot for the day depending on the conditions.
We will get as close as possible to the glaciers safely, entering the fjord aboard our small expedition boats or even exploring by kayak if conditions permit. From your vessel on the water, you may spot humpback whales, bald eagles, otters, and harbor seals, all of which inhabit this wild and icy region.

Baie du Prince-William Icy Bay
Today, we head out for a day of exploration in Icy Bay. The fronts of three glaciers (Guyot,... see+ Yahtse, and Tyndall) regularly calve into this bay. If conditions permit, you will explore the area aboard our small expedition boats or by kayak to fully appreciate the beauty of this icy landscape.
Wildlife is abundant in the Gulf of Alaska, providing unmatched photography opportunities. Humpback whales, orcas, Steller sea lions, sea otters, and harbor seals lounging on floating ice chunks are common in these waters.

Icy Bay Icy Strait Point
Today, another day of exploration allows us to sail through Icy Strait and take a closer look at... see+ some islands. Possible destinations to explore include George Island, the Inian Islands, and Idaho Inlet, but as always, we will assess the weather and other conditions to decide on the most suitable spot.
With our expedition boats, we can approach some rocky shores and possibly land for a nature walk. The coastline in this region becomes increasingly rugged as we get closer to the open sea, with abundant rocky pinnacles and sea caves.
In the evening, we will pass by Point Adolphus, located at the northern tip of Chichagof Island, opposite Glacier Bay National Park. The nutrient-rich waters are known to attract humpback whales and other marine animals, so be sure to step out on deck and don’t forget your camera.

Icy Strait Point Haines
Near the head of Lynn Canal lies the border town of Haines, originally inhabited by the Lingít... see+ Chilkat people. Members of this community are renowned for their weaving skills. You can admire remarkable examples of their work, created using mountain goat hair and cedar bark woven into intricate patterns.
Haines boasts a thriving art scene, with galleries and workshops showcasing totem carvings, jewelry, and sculptures. Bringing home Alaskan art and crafts is a wonderful way to support local creators. The stunning landscapes also offer excellent opportunities for hiking and wildlife observation.

Haines At sea - Southeastern Alaska
Explore Alaska in true expedition tradition during today’s exploration day in this magical corner... see+ of the Inside Passage. In this region, old-growth forest dominates, wildlife is abundant, and the wilderness is breathtaking.
If conditions allow, we’ll take to the sea aboard our small expedition boats in search of secluded coves, iceberg-filled bays, and shores covered with dense forests. Try to spot some of Alaska’s most iconic animals, such as bears, bald eagles, Sitka black-tailed deer, and moose. If it’s safe to do so, we may land and explore the shoreline.

At sea - Southeastern Alaska Tracy Arm Fjord
Holkham Bay is home to two magnificent fjords: Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm. Our goal is to visit one... see+ or the other, depending on the changing ice conditions. The captain will decide on the best exploration options for the day, but in either case, expect breathtaking scenery and ample wildlife-viewing opportunities.
At the end of each fjord, glacier faces collapse to create new icebergs, set against a dramatic backdrop of rocky cliffs. This area is a breeding ground for harbor seals, often seen lounging on floating ice. You may also spot whales, bears, and even mountain goats, so keep your camera ready!

Tracy Arm Fjord Chatham Strait
Start your day by spotting whales in the pristine waters of Frederick Sound. Today, we embark on a... see+ day of exploration: the captain and expedition team will use their local knowledge to select the best destination.
We may take to the sea aboard our expedition boats to explore the secluded coves and wooded shores of Chatham Strait, which stretches nearly 240 km, or we might enjoy a kayaking excursion if conditions allow. Wherever we explore, stay alert for wildlife, as bald eagles, bears, and humpback whales are commonly seen in this region.

Chatham Strait Klawock
Today, we visit Klawock, beautifully located on the west coast of Prince of Wales Island. This... see+ small town of about 700 inhabitants is famous for its collection of totem poles, the largest in Alaska.
The island, originally named "Taan," meaning sea lion, is a center of Lingít culture. At Totem Park, you will see 21 finely carved examples, some of which are replicas of the originals from the winter village of Tuxecan.

Klawock Misty Fjords
Located in the Tongass National Forest, the Misty Fjords offer a pristine wilderness dotted with... see+ evergreen trees, roaring waterfalls, and majestic snow-capped peaks. The renowned naturalist John Muir described the area as one of the most beautiful places he had ever seen.
Weather permitting, you will join the expedition team for an excursion in the Misty Fjords aboard our small expedition boats or explore by kayak.
The Misty Fjords are home to abundant wildlife. During our exploration, scan the shores and forests for black and brown bears, as well as moose. These waters host Pacific salmon, sea otters, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, orcas, and Dall's porpoises. Overhead, you may spot herons and bald eagles.

Misty Fjords Inside Passage
The coastal itinerary of the Inside Passage takes us through the vast "North American Pacific... see+ Fjordland," a protected waterway stretching nearly 1,500 kilometers. Unlike other ships that cross it at night, you will marvel at this sublime landscape in all its glory during the day.
Our smaller expedition ship allows us to access areas that larger ships cannot reach, meaning you'll have the opportunity to explore less-traveled channels with breathtaking scenery. Keep your cameras and binoculars handy to spot whales, including humpbacks, fin whales, minke whales, and possibly even orcas. In the Princess Royal Channel, watch for the elusive Kermode bear.

Inside Passage Alert Bay
We arrive in Alert Bay, a picturesque village on Cormorant Island, north of Vancouver Island. Here,... see+ we will have the opportunity to meet and learn from the Kwakwaka’wakw First Nations community. Being welcomed by them is a true privilege.
At the U'mista Cultural Centre, you will see intricate totem poles, paintings, sculptures, ceremonial masks, and other important objects.
The sheltered waters around the island attract a large number of wildlife, including the yellow-billed loon, which, with its characteristic speckled back, is a must-see. Scan the shore, you might also spot orcas and humpback whales.

Alert Bay Vancouver
Your expedition cruise ends in Vancouver, a beautiful city at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.... see+ Visit Gastown, the city's oldest neighborhood, and climb the Vancouver Lookout tower, which offers a panoramic view of neon-lit Granville Street, the beaches of the West End, and the giant cedars of Stanley Park.
Vancouver has its own unique flavor, just like its international cuisine. Before continuing your journey, we recommend dining in Chinatown, at Punjabi Market, or in Little Italy to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

We... see+ will navigate through icebergs, venturing toward the colossal Guyot Glacier, which plunges into the bay. Keep an eye out for playful harbor seals that have made this land of icy wonders their home.

After a scenic drive to Chilkat State Park, you'll begin your 5 km hike through the temperate rainforests toward Moose Meadows. Along the way, your naturalist guide will share insights about the local flora and fauna.
Once you reach Moose Meadows, you'll be... see+ treated to a grand view of the glacier and fjord, and may even spot moose grazing nearby. We'll have a picnic on the beach, surrounded by stunning landscapes. If time permits, we'll continue hiking south along the coast before heading back.

Enjoy a scenic drive through Fort Seward and along the Haines Peninsula to reach the start of the trail leading to Mount Riley. The hike begins on rolling terrain through temperate rainforest before undertaking the mountain ascent. Our goal: the summit,... see+ offering a stunning 360° panoramic view of Lynn Canal and beyond. Your guide will introduce you to the local wildlife and flora, and you'll take a picnic break. 
Not included
Your double kayak awaits on the beach next to the ferry dock. Listen to the safety instructions, put on your gear, and set off with your paddling partner in search of eagles and marine wildlife. You’ll surely make a stop on a secluded beach to stretch your... see+ legs before returning for the picnic. If the conditions aren’t favorable for paddling, we’ll retreat to an alternative site, Chilkoot Lake.
