Motorboat, sailboat and catamaran charter Sweden

Last updated on 7 April 2025

Sweden is a magnificent country where people and nature live in harmony. Its capital, Stockholm, is surrounded by several islands, making this Nordic kingdom a large maritime area that is particularly interesting to discover by opting for a yacht charter in Sweden. This unique territory is also very pleasant to visit with its many museums, its medieval city of Gamla Stan and its UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Sail and soak up Viking culture

If you start your cruise in Göteborg, you will be able to enjoy the Swedish coastline on the Baltic. Sailing west to the western part of the Kattegat, you will have the opportunity to admire the hundreds of islands formed of pink granite, before setting off again to discover the sumptuous lands of the Billdal region.

Popular with adventurers and explorers, Sweden is 53% covered with forests and 9% with lakes and rivers. But this fascinating kingdom, interwoven with history and legend, also boasts the Baltic Sea, with its thousands of scattered islands, a wonderful playground for yachtsmen.

Exploring the Stockholm archipelago by sailboat

Sweden offers a sublime coastline of around 2000 km to yachting enthusiasts. The country, which is one of the most ecological in the world according to the Global Green Economy Index, remains a real treat for nature lovers. Nature lovers will be delighted to sail along the Scandinavian fjords, ancient glacial valleys offering a unique and sensational spectacle, but will also have wonderful memories of their trips between the countless islands and islets that make up the Stockholm archipelago. There's no doubt that cruise passengers looking for a peaceful setting in which to relax will appreciate island gems such as Bullerön, whose wild and rocky nature is an invitation to contemplation and poetry.

Summer is the perfect season for yacht charters in Sweden, when temperatures reach around 25°C. From May to September, it is particularly pleasant to sail on the shallow waters of the Stockholm skärgård, which stretches for almost 120 km along the Swedish east coast. With more than 24,000 islands and islets, the site offers a wide choice of preserved anchorages, authentic landscapes and fishing villages. A stopover on the island of Biskopsön, surrounded by beaches alternating between rocks, greenery and white sand, will make you realize to what point nature can be beautiful and harmonious. It will invite you to bathe in its crystal-clear waters, which will reveal an astonishingly rich aquatic fauna and flora.
