Angers is also home to the magnificent Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park. A visit to the park will allow you to discover the flora and fauna typical of the Loire Valley in a vast wetland area of over 6,000 hectares. You will find more than 200 species of birdsspecies of birds (little terns and ospreys), bats, butterflies, migratory fish such as salmon and shad, and mammals such as the European beaver.
