Why opt for a sailboat charter in Tenerife?

It is an ideal destination for sailing enthusiasts, who can enjoy the mild climate, varied landscapes and cultural richness of the island. By opting for a yacht charter in Tenerife, you will have the opportunity to discover the wonders that the island has to offer.

What is there to do during a yacht charter in Tenerife?

Considered the largest and most famous of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is home to a rich historical heritage, a remnant of the Spanish invaders. This is evidenced by the island's historic districts, where it is still easy to imagine the life of the great landowners of yesteryear. Tenerife has a good dozen historic districts. Here are a few must-sees to visit during a sailboat or catamaran charter in Tenerife:

  • The Buenavista del Norte district, whose history dates back to the 16th century, promises you a little trip back in time. This district is indeed one of the most beautiful on the island. A beauty that has hardly changed since its creation, especially in the hamlets of Masca and El Palmar. The church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, built in the 16th century, is the heart of the latter.
  • Adeje is a municipality with a population of around 50,000. Located in the southwest of the island, it is part of the province of Santa Cruz. It is known for its historical and cultural heritage, including the temple of Châtillon, the church of Saint Maurice and the ruins of Gaillard Castle. Adeje is also renowned for its natural landscapes and beaches, such as Costa Adeje, where you can enjoy water sports such as sailing, surfing and diving.
  • Cruz is a municipality with a population of around 30,000, also located in the province of Santa Cruz. Cruz is famous for its carnival, which is one of the largest and most colorful in the world. It is also appreciated for its mild and sunny climate, which has earned it the nickname "city of eternal spring". Cruz offers a wide range of leisure activities, such as the Siam Park water park, the Loro Parque zoo and the botanical garden.

Hiking and a trip out to sea during your yacht charter in Tenerife

Apart from its historical heritage, Tenerife also surprises with the beauty of its landscape. A landscape that you can happily discover by taking the beacon-marked hiking trails that criss-cross its mountains. This adventure will plunge you into the heart of its pine forests and take you to the summit of Mount Teide, the highest mountain in Spain.

With temperatures around 18 degrees, the island is also a must for lovers of sea excursions, who will be happy to take advantage of the yacht charter in Tenerife. The island's underwater biodiversity also makes it a must for scuba diving enthusiasts.

You can even veer off into the deep for some sport fishing and try to catch a big Blue Marlin. Fly fishing is only for the less adventurous. Apart from fishing, intrepid youngsters can also try their hand at surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing.

During your cruise, explore the island's best anchorages such as Playa de Antequera or Playa de las Teresitas.
