Rent a Hallberg-Rassy sailboat
like its best-sellers, the H-R 372 and H-R 64, the shipbuilder Hallberg-Rassy offers luxury yachts with very high-level marine qualities. This Swedish shipyard is not, however, one of the brands that habitually overlap in the race for innovation. However, its units designed for ocean cruising are seen as majestic Rolls-Royces of the seas, the brand's strategy being to make sparing modifications to its models in order to adapt them to market trends. Hallberg-Rassy yachts have the advantage of powerful engines coupled with tanks that give the boats a long rangeThe shipyard was established in 1972, partly as a result of chance. Christoph Rassy's company, based in Kungsviken, took possession of Harry Hallberg's yard in Ellös, Sweden. Harry Hallberg, who, it should be remembered, already has a growing reputation in the field of sailing thanks to the mass production of fiberglass boats. He is particularly responsible for the Folkboat and the Kungskryssaren, a Swedish cruiser built in the 1950s. Christoph Rassy, meanwhile, began to make a name for himself in the world of sailing with the Rasmus 35, launched in 1966. Designed by Olle Enderlein, this long-distance cruiser was already a step ahead of its time with its central cockpit, sheltered behind a windscreen, and its sleek design that would become the hallmark of the new Hallberg-Rassy shipyard. One year after the birth of Hallberg-Rassy, a new boat was created and named Monsun 31. After its launch in 1973, the Hallberg-Rassy 31 was a great success. Close to 900 were produced until 1982. It was the shipyard's best seller and continues to surprise sailors. The Hallberg-Rassy 41 will be the company's new flagship. It will be the very first ship with a proper promenade on the aft cabin. The design of this long-distance sailboat was studied to offer a vast living space and maximum safety on board. The rudder and keel are separate, the galley has been positioned on the starboard side and the chart table offers more space. Several Hallberg-Rassy 41 units were built between 1975 and 1979. Other ships, such as the Hallberg-Rassy 38, built in 1976, and the Hallberg-Rassy 352, launched in 1978, also enjoyed considerable commercial success.
