It is precisely in the heart of the Grand Etang National Park that you will find numerous sailing itineraries. Established in 1992, this 1,000-hectare park boasts a breathtaking landscape with a tropical forest covering the high peaks such as Mount Qua Qua, which offers a magnificent view of the entire park.
Your walk in the heart of the park will take you to the majestic Anandale Falls. Budding botanists will enjoy immortalizing the magnificent tropical and indigenous plants populating the nature reserve. The local fauna also deserves special attention. Between two walks, hikers can immortalize lizards, armadillos, opossums and Mona monkeys thriving in their natural environment. As for birdlife enthusiasts, they will find it hard to forget their encounter with the tufted antillean hummingbird or the blue-backed manakin with its shimmering colors.
