Yacht charter Nosy Be

Last updated on 8 April 2025

Nosy Be is a small island in the open sea off Madagascar, to the northwest of Grande Terre.
Nosy-Be, capital Hellville, with its small picturesque port, owes its nickname of Fragrant Island to the cultivation of ylang ylang, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, pepper and other spices.
Leaving Nosy Be, you can discover numerous islands and bays: To the south: Nosy Tanikely - Nosy Komba - Baie des Russes - Le Pain de Sucre - Nosy Iranja - Nosy Radamas - Nosy Saba. To the north: Nosy Mitsio.
You will be met and welcomed in Nosy-Be by the staff of our charter base and taken to the embarkation beach (there is no marina in the region).

Exceptional flora and fauna

a volcanic island nestled in Ampasindava Bay in the Mozambique Channel, Nosy Be is increasingly appealing to yachtsmen, who discover an exotic environment of unexpected beauty.on land, let yourself be tempted by a visit to this sanctuary of nature, often described by scientists as the cradle of Madagascar's rare species, due to its isolation in the middle of the Indian Ocean. on Nosy Be, there are close to 19,000 plant species and 100,000 animal species. It is precisely in Lemuria Land that you can admire some of its endemic species, such as the lemurs, the island's emblematic animal.

On land and at sea, observing the animals that characterize the island of Nosy Be is an experience not to be missed during your cruise in the Indian Ocean. In the open sea, sea turtles and whales set the masthead for your seaside vacation. You can encounter sea turtles during a snorkeling session in the turquoise waters of the bay and on the sandy shores of the Mozambique Channel. Prefer the Nosy Tantely marine reserve or the clear waters of Nosy Sakatia to swim among the turtles. But it is not only sea turtles that will be present during your diving session. The manta ray will be delighted to present its majestic aquatic ballet to you, under the almost disinterested gaze of the large damselfish. Choose the southern winter (between April and November) if you wish to attend the manta ray show, as they are particularly numerous during this season.

And what about the unique spectacle of the humpback whales, eagerly awaited every year from June to September? Having come to mate and give birth in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, the humpback whales gather by the thousands off the northeast coast of the island, inviting you to witness their incredible courtship displays.

Relaxation and entertainment on Nosy Be

The beaches of Nosy Be, with their relaxing atmosphere, will have no trouble convincing you to give in to the sweetness of idleness with their rivers of fine sand hauled in on either side of the boat of palm trees. Facing the Mozambique Channel, Ambatoloaka beach offers long swims in crystal-clear water and splendid sunsets. Those seeking peace and quiet will prefer the beaches of Ambondrona, south of Madirokely, and Orangea, a small, isolated beach on the northwestern coast of Nosy Be. In addition to its tranquility, Orangea beach also offers a breathtaking view of Sakatia Island.

As for entertainment, there is something for everyone. On the side of the boat, you can enjoy the lively and friendly atmosphere on Madirokely beach or veering off to scuba dive in the open sea at Ambatoloaka beach. in the interior of the island, you can venture along the beaconed paths to the crater lakes or climb to the summit of Mount Passot, which offers, as a bonus, a breathtaking view of the entire island.
