In the Indian Ocean, 44 km northeast of Mahé, Praslin is the second largest island in the Seychelles archipelago. Boasting breathtaking natural surroundings, this granite jewel is home to the ecological reserve of the famous Vallée de Mai, known for its endemic species and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
The island, sometimes known as the "island of the black parrot", will delight hikers and lovers of lush greenery, but will also enchant those looking for stretches of white sand caressed by turquoise waters.
Almost unmissable, yacht charters in Praslin will allow tourists who are passing through to multiply their discoveries. Combined with scuba diving, the sailing excursion will offer aquatic hikers the unforgettable spectacle of the Seychelles' seabed, whose biodiversity is quite simply exceptional.
While sailing around Praslin, boaters will also be able to contemplate the small island curiosities that are, among others, Cousine, Curieuse and Ronde, before adjusting course for La Digue, located about half an hour's sailing from Ste-Anne Bay. Cruise passengers will then have the opportunity to discover the famous beach of Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most photographed shorelines in the world, with its amazingly shaped granite rocks.
