    • Sailing catamaran rental: this is the most authentic category of catamaran, and also the most affordable! Enjoy competitive prices and total comfort, whether you are an experienced skipper or a sailing novice.

Services offered for your catamaran rental in Paros

Our offer distinguishes 4 different types of services that will adapt to your cruise project according to your preferences:

    • Catamaran rental without a skipper. This is the type of service for you if you love sailing and want to handle the navigation yourself! Ideal for enjoying an authentic experience and getting a thrill during your cruise in Paros.
    • Catamaran rental with a skipper. This is the ideal type of service for people on their first sailing experience! Board a catamaran alongside a skipper who specializes in Paros, who will guide you safely to the must-see spots in the area.
    • Catamaran rental with crew. This is the most luxurious type of service. The idea is that you don't have to worry about anything. Your crew, which will most often consist of a skipper, a hostess, and a cook, is there to guarantee you the best cruise possible.
    • Cabin cruise on a catamaran. This is generally the least expensive type of service! You book one or more cabins on board a spacious catamaran, sharing the common living areas with other travelers. The itinerary, meals, and activities are planned in advance.

What is the price for a catamaran rental in Paros?

The table below gives you an idea of the average prices for a one-week rental in Paros. These prices may vary depending on the season, availability, model, and age of the boat.

    Type of boatHigh Season
    July and August
    Mid Season
    May, June and September
    Low Season
    April and October
    Catamaran (between 35 and 40 feet)$6,800$4,900$3,500
    Catamaran (between 40 and 45 feet)$10,100$7,500$5,400
    Catamaran (between 45 and 50 feet)$14,300$9,900$7,100

We recommend taking out cancellation insurance for your catamaran rental in Paros. It will cover all crew members.

We also encourage our clients to take out a security deposit buyback insurance. At sea, breakdowns happen even to experienced sailors. This insurance will allow you to recover a significant part of your deposit in the event of a navigation-related incident.

    When to sail in Paros?

If you want to enjoy ideal weather conditions, steady wind and a pleasant sea, opt for the high season, between June and September. This is the period when the Meltemi blows regularly, offering great sailing conditions, especially on a catamaran.

If you are looking for the best time to discover Paros in a quieter atmosphere, with less crowding in ports and anchorages, choose May or October. Temperatures remain very pleasant and the sea retains a good temperature at the start of fall.

If you want a compromise between stable weather, comfortable sailing and moderate crowds, June and September are the best options.

And since you will certainly want to know them, here is a summary table of average minimum and maximum temperatures, as well as the average sea temperature in Paros:

    Sailing conditions in Paros

Sailing around Paros is typically Mediterranean, but marked by a key element: the Meltemi.

In summer, this north to north-easterly wind blows regularly between 15 and 30 knots. It can intensify in July and August, particularly in the channels between the Cyclades islands. It is therefore advisable to adapt your itinerary and anticipate more challenging sailing on certain days.

The sea can become rough when the wind settles for an extended period. Crossings between Paros, Naxos and Mykonos remain accessible with good preparation, however.

Marinas are limited in the Cyclades. In Paros, you will find facilities in Parikia and Naoussa, but most nights are spent at anchor, in well-sheltered bays depending on the wind direction.

Night sailing is not recommended, due to shallow waters, isolated rocks and reduced visibility in certain coves.

Finally, if you are a beginner or prefer a more relaxed sail, avoid periods of strong Meltemi in the height of summer and opt for June or September instead.

Our tips for a successful boat rental in the Cyclades:

    • Familiarize yourself with local regulations: Before boarding your rental sailboat, make sure you are aware of the regulations in force in the region regarding sailing zones, anchorage and protected areas.
    • Documents and formalities: If you are the skipper of the boat, make sure you have a valid boat license to present. Furthermore, we strongly recommend taking out security deposit buyback insurance even if you hire a skipper: in the event of damage to the boat, you are directly liable, and the deposit buyback protects you against any accidental damage.
