For bareboat rentals, a boat license and sailing experience are generally required. For skippered rentals or crewed cruises, no license is needed. Canal boats are license-free.

Can I rent a canal boat without prior experience?

Yes. Canal boats are license-free and beginner-friendly. A short briefing is provided at departure to get you comfortable with handling and locks.
