Sailing itineraries

Bridgetown
On Barbados' rugged east coast, the secluded beaches are the color of sunrise, the red sand having... see+ swept across the Atlantic from the Sahara. The most easterly island in the Windward Islands, and indeed in the entire Caribbean, stretches towards Africa and the Old World, as if not quite part of the modern world. Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, is an interesting city full of contrasts. George Washington stayed here, and Trafalgar Square reminds you that the British heritage of this laid-back, rum-loving, fun-loving island includes respected traditions such as cricket and tea.
