Here we will visit the Greco-Roman temple of Kom Ombo. The building is completely symmetrical with two entrances, two halls, and two sanctuaries dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and the crocodile god Sobek. Lunch will be served as we adjust our course and speed for a small island where we will spend the evening and enjoy dinner in this enchanting setting.

Kom Ombo Gebel Silsileh Bassaw Fawaza
Breakfast on the side of the dahabieh. We set off on a relaxing trip to the temple of Gebel... see+ el-Silsila, another of our less frequented destinations. Visit to the temple followed by lunch on the side of the boat. We continue sailing to the small island village of Bassaw, a community of 500 inhabitants who grow their own fruit, such as mangoes, bananas, and dates, and live off fishing. They are clearly isolated from neighboring regions, with Bassaw seeming frozen in time! Visit to the village of Bassaw. Upon arrival at a farmer's house, we will be welcomed into his home and will have the opportunity to ask any questions we may have, particularly about the education of girls living on the island. (Perhaps an opportunity to prepare our local solar bread for dinner.)

We continue sailing to another island, Sarag or Fawaza, to enjoy dinner on the island with a festive Egyptian evening presented by the crew with folk music.
