This morning, visit a colourful Nubian village. Then enjoy a beautiful felucca ride around... see+ Elephantine Island. Elephantine Island was the departure point for military expeditions to Nubia in the Old Kingdom. The city of the waves, or Sount, was established there to house the customs post and enable trade with the south. In recent decades, ruins of the period have been uncovered behind a large mud-brick wall: dwellings, granaries, pyramid-shaped buildings, a sanctuary, etc. Old sculptures and inscriptions bear witness to monumental constructions dating back to the Middle Kingdom. In the evening, a Sound and Light show at the Temple of Philae. Dedicated to Isis, the goddess of love, the temple of Philae is one of the most beautiful and best preserved in the country. It is located on a small island accessible only by boat, which gives it a great deal of charm.

Carved into the cliffs 3,000 years ago, the Abu Simbel temples are considered to be the 8th wonder of the world. Threatened by the waters of the Nile after the construction of the Aswan Dam in the 1960s, the temples were cut up and moved block by block in record time. Masterpieces of antiquity, the Abu Simbel temples still bear witness to an empire at its height and to the power of Pharaoh Ramses II. In the afternoon, visit the unfinished Obelisk, followed by a tour of the souks with your guide. The great monuments of ancient Egypt bear witness to the grandeur of the pharaohs who built them. The stone quarries, meanwhile, reveal the efforts made by the Egyptian people to create the enormous edifices commissioned by their kings. The most famous of these is undoubtedly the granite quarry at Aswan. It houses the famous unfinished obelisk. Built almost 1,500 years BC, this monolithic monument allows modern-day tourists and archaeologists to discover the secrets of the largest obelisks erected throughout the country.

Sail to Kom Ombo. On arrival, visit the temple. Along with Esna and Edfu, Kom Ombo is the third... see+ major stop on most Nile cruises between Luxor and Aswan. Located around 50km north of Aswan, the temple can easily be visited on a day trip. However, the setting of this Temple of Sobek, the Crocodile God, on the east bank of the Nile, makes arriving by boat an impressive experience. The Temple sits on a picturesque hill along the riverbank and although there are no crocodiles left in the Nile or in the temple's sacred lake today, it is well worth a visit. Then head off to Gebel Silsileh and visit the temple. You can also take a swim.

It is one of the most prestigious in the country, due to its proportions, and certainly one of the best preserved. You will then sail back to Esna, which you will visit on foot.

During the night, the boat will sail towards Luxor. Arrival in the early morning. Departure towards... see+ the Valley of the Kings, tombs of the pharaohs. Right across from Luxor in Egypt, welcome to the west bank of the Nile and the Theban necropolis, where sacred and desert mountains overlook lush nature. It is here that the pharaohs of the New Kingdom chose to establish their final resting place. The Valley of the Kings is the highlight of the sites on the left bank. It now contains 63 tombs. You will only be able to visit 13 of them. Continuing towards the left bank of the river, head towards the sacred mountains that shelter the imposing Temple of Hatshepsut, the queen-pharaoh, carved directly into the limestone rock and beautifully restored. Located on the west bank of the Nile, near the city of Luxor, the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut continues to be a subject of fascination. Attributed to the pharaoh of the same name, this heritage of the Egyptian people is a must-visit site for anyone traveling to Egypt. Divided into three major levels, each level of this monument tells a story and offers a magnificent view of the legendary Theban necropolis. In the afternoon, visit the Karnak Temple. Then, in the evening, visit the illuminated Luxor Temple. Here is the largest religious complex of ancient Egypt! On the right bank of the Nile, the Karnak Temple covers 2.5 km² in Upper Egypt, near Luxor, the ancient Thebes of ancient Egypt. Built over millennia, the legendary Karnak Temple is dedicated to the god Amun. At the entrance, 40 ram-headed sphinxes lead to the great hypostyle hall with its spectacular forest of columns, the largest of all Egyptian temples. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979, the Karnak Temple is an essential stop on any trip to Egypt, along with Abu Simbel, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, and the Giza Pyramids. The Luxor Temple was built between 1400 and 1000 BC, under the orders of Pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The former built the inner part, and the latter constructed the outer enclosure, adding the facade, colossi, and obelisks. The temple is 260 meters long and dedicated to Amun (the god of the wind). The Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple, located less than three kilometers apart, were connected by the Avenue of the Sphinxes, once lined with over 600 sphinxes. Today, you can only see the beginning of this avenue at the gates of each of the two temples.
