Transfer on board for embarkation and the start of the cruise.
The city of Aswan is the... see+ third-largest city in Egypt, located at the southern border of the country. It is a unique, welcoming, and serene city, thanks to the temperament of its predominantly Nubian inhabitants.
The Dahabiya is a type of riverboat unique to Egypt. Since ancient times, travel in Egypt was possible only by boat, as the Nile floods prevented the establishment of proper roads along the river.
Onboard, the crew will welcome you with a fresh rose-scented towel and a typical regional drink: Karkadeh, an infusion of hibiscus flowers, or freshly squeezed mint-infused lemon juice. You will enjoy these refreshments on the deck before settling into your cabins.
Witness the release of the moorings and the initial maneuvers as the boat begins its journey along the Nile, while you savor your first lunch on board, heading towards Kom Ombo.

Arrival at Kom Ombo: a 1.5-hour visit.
This temple, dedicated to the god Sobek (the crocodile god), was built during the Ptolemaic era. You will see crocodile mummies in a perfect state of preservation, displayed at the entrance.
