Your English-speaking guide will drive you in an air-conditioned vehicle to the east bank of Luxor, site of the fabulous Karnak complex—the largest religious complex ever built, dedicated to the Theban triad with Amun-Ra. Its ancient name "Ipet-isut" means "the most sacred place." The spectacular hypostyle hall has 137 monumental columns. You will then visit the Theban Necropolis on the west bank, followed by the Valley of the Kings with its tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs. The tour continues to the Colossi of Memnon and the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. Carved into the Theban cliff, this three-level temple combines harmony and modernity.
