Saarbrücken Sarrebourg
Day of cruising on the Saar and Moselle rivers. Inseparable from the image of the region, the Saar... see+ loop is the highlight of any trip to the area. In the afternoon, you will reach the famous "Saarschleife," also known as the "Great Loop of the Saar" in Mettlach. Here, at the bottom of its valley, the river winds through a green landscape to form the most famous meander in Germany. Continue cruising until Saarbourg. Overnight stop.

Sarrebourg Trier
Morning of cruising on the Saar and Moselle rivers to Trier. Arrival late morning. Optional... see+ excursions:

Authentic: Guided tour of Trier. Discover Trier's Roman cultural heritage, the view it offers over the Moselle, and its beautiful landscape. Known for being one of the seats of Roman imperial power, one of the great centers of early Christianity, and also a dynamic medieval city, it has retained precious architectural marks from these three periods. You will see, among others, the amphitheater, the imperial baths, the Roman basilica, the famous Porta Nigra which was designed as both a fortress and a monument, and the Saint Peter's Cathedral from the medieval era.

Experience: The treetop path of the Saar loop. Discover the Saar loop from a new perspective. Depart by coach to Mettlach. Upon arrival, you will access the treetop path, the fourth of its kind in Germany. It offers breathtaking views of the Saar loop, the most famous meander in all of Germany.

Return to the boat. Night navigation to Cochem.

Trier Cochem
Morning sailing on the Moselle River toward Cochem.
Enjoy this stunning cruise through the heart... see+ of nature as the river winds between steep hillsides, mountains, towns, and picturesque villages. Arrival in the early afternoon in Cochem. Strolling through Cochem is pure delight. Its historic alleys, little squares, charming riverside houses, and intricate facades are a feast for the eyes.

Optional excursions:

Authentic: Guided tour of Cochem Castle (not available on 07/08/2025. This excursion will be replaced by a guided walking tour of Cochem). Transfer to Cochem Castle by minibus. The Reichsburg towers majestically over the Moselle. Enjoy a guided visit of this magnificent castle dating back to the year 1000. Destroyed in the 17th century, it was completely rebuilt based on old plans in a neo-Gothic style. Its graceful turrets topped with steeples make it a standout. After the visit, you’ll have free time to explore the town’s narrow winding streets, timber-framed houses with slate roofs, and the historic town hall square.

Experience: Panoramic hike in Cochem. Depart on foot along the Moselle, crossing the bridge to explore Cochem’s old town through its picturesque alleyways. Admire the half-timbered houses, St. Martin’s Church, the Capuchin Monastery, and the market square. Leaving the town behind, the trail leads through peaceful natural landscapes and forest to the castle overlooking the city, offering a stunning view over Cochem and the Moselle. On the way back down, pass by the "Tummelchen" viewpoint, then return via the upper town.

Morning sailing toward Koblenz at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. You will cruise... see+ through the Moselle and its idyllic landscapes, where towns and countryside coexist in perfect harmony. Arrival in the early afternoon.

Optional Authentic/Experience Excursion: Guided tour of Koblenz and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. In the heart of the picturesque Rhine and Moselle region, surrounded by the four Rhenish mountain ranges, the city of Koblenz offers visitors a rich array of cultural monuments and historic buildings. Take the cable car to reach the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, offering magnificent views over the city, the Rhine, and the Moselle. Overlooking the mouth of the Moselle, the fortress dominates the Rhine Valley from a location of great strategic importance. Free evening. Overnight stop.

Koblenz Rudesheim
Morning cruising through the beautiful Romantic Rhine Valley. With its castles, historic towns,... see+ vineyards, and the famous Lorelei Rock, this sublime landscape, deeply intertwined with history and legend, has inspired many writers, painters, and composers. Arrival in Rüdesheim in the early afternoon.

Optional excursions:

Authentic: Little train, wine tasting, and mechanical music museum in Rüdesheim. Departure on a tourist train for a guided tour through the Rüdesheim vineyard. Wine tasting in the historic cellars of the Bassenheimer Hof, a 16th-century manor house. Then head to the Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett museum, located in a 15th-century historic building. It houses an impressive collection of mechanical musical instruments and is one of the largest and most beautiful collections from the 18th to 20th centuries.

Experience: Hike through the Rüdesheim vineyard. You will reach the center of Rüdesheim, the starting point for the cable cars that take you to the Niederwald Monument. From there, enjoy a breathtaking view over the town, vineyards, and the Rhine. Continue with a hike through the vineyards to the Abbey of St. Hildegard, built between 1900 and 1904. Free visit of the abbey, then return on foot to the boat through the vines.

In the evening, the famous Drosselgasse awaits with its many taverns and live music.

Arrival in the morning in Mannheim.

Departure by coach to Heidelberg, the city symbolic of German romanticism. Meet your guides at Heidelberg Castle, where you will discover the exterior of this magnificent partially ruined pink sandstone castle. Since the late 18th century, the ruins of the castle have inspired painters and poets who saw in them a symbol of the grandeur and decadence of human works. Goethe, Hölderlin, Uhland, and Eichendorff praised the castle landscape, while many painters chose it as their subject.
Also discover the geometric terraces of the Palatinate Garden, the "Hortus Palatinus", once considered the "eighth wonder of the world".
You will continue with your guides on a tour of the old town. You will admire the Church of the Holy Spirit (outside), built between 1398 and 1441, the burial place of the Prince-Electors.

Return on board in Heidelberg and sail to Eberbach. Take the opportunity to stroll through the small medieval town of Eberbach. Established on the banks of the Neckar, it showcases its half-timbered houses, historic fountains, and fortifications.
