Mannheim Strasbourg
Early morning arrival in Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region. The historic centre, Grande... see+ Île, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 as a clear example of a medieval city. The place where the canals are conglomerated is called the Petite France, a former fishermen's and millers' quarter. In addition to the Petite France, the historic centre is home to a large number of interesting monuments, including the cathedral, which stands imperiously as a symbol of the city. Strasbourg Worms Rudesheim
In the morning we arrive in Worms. The Germanic settlers made Worms their capital. The city is also... see+ famous for its Romanesque architecture. The highlight of the visit is the 11th century St. Peter's Cathedral. With its four towers and twin domes, this spectacular old building ranks alongside the cathedrals of Speyer and Mainz as one of the finest achievements of the High Romanesque style. The nave is particularly impressive, rising some 27 metres, while its domes reach heights of 40 metres. Bormes is also a popular base for a tour of the Deutsche Weinstrasse, a 50-mile route through the local wine towns. Optional visit. In the afternoon, we will drop anchor in Rüdesheim, one of the most visited towns in the country. Historical monuments such as the Klunkhardshof, the fortified Adler Tower, the thousand-year-old Brömser Castle or the ruins of Ehrenfels Castle invite you to spend some time here.
