Activities

Located high above the Danube, Melk Abbey is considered one of the most magnificent baroque ensembles in Europe. The tour begins in the Prelate's Court, whose elegant design reflects the splendor of the Baroque monastery complex. You will then discover the... see+ former imperial rooms - now a museum - which offer insights into the history of the abbey and the stays of imperial guests.
A highlight is the magnificent Marble Hall with its ornate ceiling, followed by the Altane, an open terrace with spectacular views over the Danube Valley. The Abbey Library is particularly impressive with over 80,000 volumes and the monumental ceiling painting by Paul Troger. Finally, you have the opportunity to visit the baroque collegiate church individually - another architectural highlight full of ornamentation and spiritual radiance.

Vienna, the capital of Austria, is a city of superlatives and delights every visitor. First, you will drive via the Urania to Schwarzenberg- and Karlsplatz, past the Musikvereinssaal to the State Opera.
