Activities

From the quay, you will follow your guide to begin your walking tour of Rovinj’s old town. The historic center is built on a rocky islet that has been connected to the mainland since the 13th century. The tour will reveal Venetian influences and the... see+ town’s rich cultural heritage, visible in the architecture of tall houses with red-tiled roofs and narrow streets, interspersed with covered passages and arches adorned with ancient frescoes.

The highlight of your visit will undoubtedly be the Church of St. Euphemia, Rovinj’s prestigious treasure dating back to the 8th century. Its bell tower, rising 63 meters above the center of the town, is the most prominent symbol of the Istrian region.

Built on the ruins of a Romanesque church and remodeled in the 16th century in the Baroque style, the building houses the relics of St. Euphemia. Brought from Constantinople in the 9th century, they are preserved in a marble sarcophagus. The saint’s tragic fate and martyrdom are illustrated on a mural fresco. Every year on September 16, many faithful gather around the tomb.

The church also contains other valuable works of art, including Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, such as *The Last Supper* and *Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane*.

After your visit, you will enjoy a local snack before returning to your ship. This excursion includes approximately one and a half hours of walking on cobbled streets with some stairs. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and protecting yourself from the sun. Appropriate attire for visiting religious sites is required (shoulders and knees must be covered). Pre-reservations open approximately two months before departure and close seven days before the cruise begins, subject to availability.

Included
Take a guided tour of the old town of Porec to discover the episcopal complex of the Euphrasian Basilica. An experience that combines history, architecture and breathtaking views.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Porec, the Basilica is a collection of... see+ Christian places of worship dating back to the 4th century, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This architectural marvel blends Romanesque and Byzantine styles. The sparkling mosaics in the choir are a true splendor.
At the end of the tour, you'll have free time to explore the town, before returning to Rovinj. This tour involves about 2.5 kilometers of walking on cobblestones, with a few steps. We recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes and protect yourself from the sun. Appropriate clothing for visiting religious sites is required (shoulders and knees covered).
Pre-bookings can be made with your travel consultant or travel agency, approximately 2 months before departure and up to 7 days before the start of the cruise, subject to availability.

This charming town, located around a small natural harbor, is one of the most popular seaside resorts in Dalmatia.
Numerous landmarks, including the cathedral, the former arsenal, and noble palaces, reflect a rich history influenced by Gothic and Renaissance... see+ art.
From the quay, follow your guide on a delightful walk through the narrow streets of Hvar, the most important town on the island. You will visit the Franciscan Monastery, dating back to the 15th century. The cloister, with its rounded arches and a well in the center, dominates the Renaissance-style monastery complex. The former spacious refectory and an adjacent small room have been transformed into a museum. The collection includes ancient books, coins, and the famous depiction of The Last Supper, a work from the Venetian school of Palma il Giovane dating back to the late 16th century. These elements in the refectory attract many visitors.
After crossing the main square, you will pass by St. Stephen's Cathedral (exterior visit). It was built in several stages during the 16th and 17th centuries, with the interior completed in the 18th century. The exterior is Renaissance, while the interior is Baroque.
Next, you will visit the Benedictine Monastery, which houses a beautiful collection of lace made from agave leaves.
At the end of the tour, you will have some free time before returning to your ship. This excursion is entirely on foot, starting from the ship. It involves about two hours of walking (approximately 1.5 km) and standing (stairs, museums, and monuments without elevators, cobbled streets, and uneven surfaces). We recommend comfortable walking shoes and sun protection. Appropriate clothing is recommended for visiting religious sites (shoulders and knees must be covered). Pre-reservations open about 2 months before departure and close 7 days before the cruise begins, subject to availability.

From the quay, you will meet your guide and begin your walking tour through the streets of this medieval city.
During your walk, you will visit the Franciscan Monastery, whose cloister is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. The monastery also houses the... see+ oldest pharmacy in Europe still in operation and the third oldest in the world, founded in 1317. This pharmacy continues to sell creams made using ancestral recipes.
After visiting the monastery, you will head to the Cathedral of the Assumption, built in the 18th century on the ruins of a 12th-century church destroyed by an earthquake in 1667. Its simplicity and bright interior may surprise visitors, but its treasury is among the richest in Europe, boasting a unique collection of gold and silver relics.
Next, incorporated into the city's eastern walls, you will discover the Dominican Monastery, more modest than the previous one, and its museum featuring a fine collection of Renaissance paintings, including a triptych by Nikola Bozidarevic depicting Dubrovnik before the earthquake, and a painting of Saint Magdalene and Saint Blaise by Titian.
You will also admire other beautiful buildings from the outside, such as the Sponza Palace, notable for its columned courtyard adorned with exquisite stone carvings, the Church of Saint Blaise, the Onofrio Fountain, and more.
Afterward, enjoy some free time in the old town before heading to the Dubrovnik cable car. A short ride will take you to the top of Mount Srd, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Dubrovnik’s old town, the Elaphiti Islands, and Lokrum.
Relax with a refreshment before returning to your ship. This excursion takes place entirely on foot along cobbled streets with some stairs. We recommend comfortable walking shoes and sun protection. Appropriate attire is suggested for visiting religious sites (shoulders and knees must be covered). In the event of a religious service, the cathedral visit will be canceled. Photography of the treasures is prohibited. Depending on the season, waiting times may occur at the cable car. Pre-reservations open approximately 2 months before departure and close 7 days before the cruise begins, subject to availability.

In... see+ Njegusi, you will discover the village and the birthplace of the Petrovic dynasty, particularly Petar Petrovic Njegos II, the king and great poet who ruled Montenegro in the 19th century.
After another 45-minute drive, you will continue towards Cetinje, located in the fields at the foot of Mount Lovcen, one hour from Budva. The village is a treasure of Montenegro's cultural and historical heritage and was the former capital during the reign of King Nicholas I. This museum town, once home to kings, is famous for its monastery and museum, which you can visit before enjoying a local lunch in a typical restaurant in the area.

The city of Lecce has earned many accolades for its beauty and its architectural and historical treasures. It is often called the "Florence of southern Italy" or the "open-air museum" due to the abundance of churches and palaces whose elegance is enhanced by... see+ intricate decorations made from Lecce stone. This unique stone, when exposed to sunlight, takes on a warm honey-like hue.

Situated in the heart of the Salento region, Lecce dates back to Roman times. Today, visitors can admire the Roman amphitheater in Piazza St. Oronzo (from the outside), which was constructed in the 2nd century AD and could accommodate up to 20,000 spectators. In this arena, gladiators once fought wild animals.

From the quay, board your coach for a one-hour journey to Lecce, where your walking tour of the old town begins. Explore the city center with your guide and discover a remarkable architectural style known as "Barocco Leccese." Between the 16th and 18th centuries, Lecce experienced a golden age, during which it was adorned with Rococo and Baroque monuments. The finely grained local limestone was particularly easy to carve, encouraging the creation of a rich decorative style with intricate, easily recognizable details.

During the tour, you will marvel at the Basilica of Santa Croce, adorned with opulent decorations. Nearby, you will admire the impressive façade of the Governor’s Palace (formerly a monastery of Celestine monks). The tour concludes at one of the most beautiful squares in southern Italy, Piazza Duomo, home to the cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace.

Following the visits, enjoy a gourmet break with wine from the Apulia region and a selection of local delicacies. You will also have free time to shop before returning to Otranto, where your ship awaits.

This excursion involves approximately 2 km of walking over uneven terrain with some steps. Comfortable walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Entry to the basilica is not guaranteed in case of a religious service. Appropriate attire is required for visiting places of worship: trousers for men and skirts below the knee for women. The wine tasting is included in the excursion. Pre-booking opens approximately 2 months before departure and remains available until 7 days before the start of the cruise, subject to availability.

The pizzica belongs to the large family of traditional dances known as tarantella, and was a popular dance in Puglia and Basilicata until the 1970s.
The pizzica, in addition to being played at festive moments by various family groups or local communities,... see+ was also the accompaniment to the ritual of tarentism (therapeutic treatments to cure the venom of the tarantula) in the Salento area. It was performed by orchestras made up of a variety of instruments, among which the tambourine and violin stood out for their rhythmic and melodic characteristics.
Today, you'll be treated to a performance by 3 musicians and 1 dancer, dressed in traditional costumes. Let yourself be carried away by this tradition and admire their art. Pre-bookings open approximately 2 months before departure and up to 7 days before the start of the cruise, subject to availability.

Included
After disembarking, you will board your coach for a 30-minute drive to the ancient Greek city of Taormina.
Taormina, the ancient Tauromenion, cascades down the slopes of Mount Tauro, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean and Isola Bella, enhanced by... see+ the vibrant colors of bougainvillea and oleander, with the snow-capped Mount Etna as a backdrop.
A labyrinth of narrow streets, stepped passages, and small squares, the city has attracted many civilizations over the centuries. It is home to Greek theaters and a gymnasium, a Roman odeon and baths, Arab-Norman buildings, traces of Byzantine rule, and villas that belonged to European aristocracy in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Your excursion will begin with a walking tour of the historic city center. You will stroll along Corso Umberto Street and discover numerous monuments from various eras. Highlights include the Catania Gate, the cathedral, the Piazza IX Aprile, and the Palazzo Corvaja, before heading to the ancient theater.
The ancient theater was built in the 3rd century BC by the Greeks and later almost entirely rebuilt by the Romans, who turned it into an arena for gladiatorial combat. It is considered the second-largest theater in Sicily after Syracuse. Thanks to its size and excellent acoustics, the theater still hosts numerous festivals and concerts today. Spectators, seated on the stone tiers, can enjoy performances while admiring views of the sea, Mount Tauro, and Mount Etna.
After your visit, you will enjoy refreshments at a local café and some free time. This excursion involves about 2 km of walking on uneven terrain with some stairs. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and protecting yourself from the sun. Appropriate clothing is required for visiting religious sites (shoulders and knees must be covered). Pre-reservations open about two months before departure and close seven days before the cruise starts, subject to availability.

Included
You'll leave the port by coach for Mount Etna, one of Europe's largest active volcanoes. You'll arrive at the Rifugio Sapienza at an altitude of 1,800 metres.
From here, you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Gulf of Catania, forests, orchids and... see+ vineyards. You can also discover several side craters and ancient lava flows.
By cable car, you continue your ascent to an altitude of 2,300 meters, then take a 4x4 minibus to 2,700 meters above sea level, at the base of the main crater. Assisted by your alpine guide, you may have the opportunity to get close to some of the last lava flows... A wonderful experience. This tour involves walking at high altitude (2,700 m), so participants must be in good physical condition. We strongly advise you to bring a jacket, as it can be very cold and windy. A supplement of €10 per person will be applied if fewer than 10 people sign up for this excursion. This tour is accompanied by an English-speaking photographer, whose comments will not be translated. This tour is limited to 80 participants. Pre-bookings open approximately 2 months before departure and up to 7 days before the start of the cruise, subject to availability.

Included
From the quay, board your coach for a scenic one-hour drive along the Adriatic Highway to the town of Ston.
Ston was built according to plans approved by the Dubrovnik government in 1335 and modified in 1370, and is considered one of Europe’s best-planned... see+ and most structured cities. The city walls are a true feat of architecture and construction. Originally 7,000 meters long, they are divided into several sections: the city walls of Ston, the city walls of Mali Ston, and the great wall with its three forts. Its forts and towers are reinforced by 10 round towers, 31 square corner towers, and six semicircular bastions. It took almost four centuries to complete these complex defensive walls, as builders had to adapt to the difficult terrain and advancements in warfare technology. The walls were last used for defensive purposes in the 19th century and are now an invaluable monument due to their architectural and cultural significance.
Upon arrival at the walls of Ston, you'll begin your hike of nearly 900 meters over rugged terrain with more than 250 steps to climb to reach the town of Mali Ston, Croatia’s "oyster capital."
Once you arrive in Mali Ston, you'll board a local boat that will take you to the oyster beds and mussel bouchots. Your host will welcome you aboard and introduce you to the oyster and mussel farming in the area. You will have the opportunity to learn about the production and taste freshly prepared oysters and mussels, including mussels in Buzara sauce (cooked with wine, garlic, and olive oil).
Finally, you'll return to your coach for a one-hour drive back to Dubrovnik along the historic road through the coastal villages of Dubrovnik, a region called Dubrovacko Primorje.
This excursion involves a hike and includes approximately 3 km of walking on uneven and steep terrain with over 250 steps. We recommend wearing comfortable hiking shoes and protecting yourself from the sun. This tour is not recommended for people with health issues. The tasting is included in your excursion. This excursion is limited to 40 participants.
