Damazan: the town where you never get bored
If you're a history buff, you'll soon find what you're looking for in Damazan! The town has a number of beautiful châteaux, some of which are private, such as the 14th-century Château du Labarthe and the Château de Muges on the road to Saint-Léger. And, to break the monotony, don't miss the city's summer night markets on Place Armand Fallières. Starting in mid-July, they don't end until the end of August. On the agenda: shows, on-site tasting of local specialties such as duck confit.
Then head for the hillside lake of Moulineau, where you can freely veer off for a swim during authorized hours. Outside of these hours, you just need to obtain authorization to fish in the lake. Not far from there, a playground and mini-golf course will keep the children entertained.
