Menorca sailboat charter with or without skipper

Last updated on 8 April 2025

Why rent a sailboat in Menorca?

Want to get away from it all without going too far? A sailboat charter in Menorca will allow you to enjoy superb landscapes and beaches that are just as good as faraway tropical panoramas. The smallest of the Balearic Islands is full of wild coves and little corners of unspoiled nature. A sunny destination a few miles from the Spanish coast, where you can combine relaxing on idyllic beaches with sporting activities.

The best places to sail in Menorca

With over 200 kilometers of wild coastline punctuated by welcoming coves with turquoise water and warm vegetation, the island of Menorca has everything to make yachtsmen in the Mediterranean dreammediterranean. A sailboat charter in Menorca will give you the opportunity to sail around an island classified as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO for the diversity of its ecosystem. Smaller than Majorca and quieter than the party island of Ibiza, Menorca is a good compromise for discovering the beautiful landscapes of the Balearic Islands from the sea. While the island and its villages are not of great cultural or historical interest, Menorca does reveal its charm on the coast with its many small "calas". Don't miss the sublime anchorage of Cala Turqueta in the northwest of the island, the charming little fishing village of Fornells with its sheltered bay, or the peaceful Cala Tortuga for bird watching.

Useful advice for sailing in Menorca

With its high temperatures, sunny skies almost all year round and dry climate, Menorca is above all a destination made for enjoying the beach and relaxing at the side of the boat in its little coves. We recommend that you take out a sailboat charter in Menorca between the month of April and the end of September. The conditions are particularly favorable for sailing. Only the Tramontana wind from the north will accompany your voyage, and cause swells. Beginner yachtsmen can, however, choose a charter with a skipper to accompany them on this superb Mediterranean adventure.
