an enchanting and magical island belonging tothe Bahamas archipelago, Eleuthera promises a change of scenery and water activities to all its visitors. With all kinds of natural and cultural attractions, the island invites you to explore.

What is there to do on Eleuthera?

Before setting off on your exceptional cruise, a short stroll through the heart of the island is a must! on Eleuthera, your biggest surprise will be at Preacher's Cave. A magnificent site steeped in magic and mystery, which above all gives you the opportunity to admire nature at its most beautiful. The second special feature of the island is its pretty pineapple plantations. Don't miss the chance to sample these delicious exotic fruits or drink a refreshing Pina Colada before setting sail.

Get comfortable on the side of your boat and set off to discover the area around Eleuthera. Between Cat Island, the Abacos, Nassau and neighboring Andros, you'll have plenty to do! All that's left for you to do is enjoy the scenery and relax with a yacht charter in the Bahamas!

cat Island

The sixth largest island in the Bahamas, Cat Island has extraordinary beaches stretching for miles, inviting you to relax and unwind. Cat Island is also a place of cultural discovery. You will find the Hermitage, a monastery located at the top of Mount Alvernia, which has made the island famous. The Arawak Cave at Columbus Point is also a place to discover during your visit to Cat Island. Diving enthusiasts, we haven't forgotten you! Cat Island offers a seabed of rare richness that will amaze you.

abacos Islands

Your sea trip will then take you to the Abacos, the capital of sailing. A true paradise for sailing and fishing, the Abacos attract travelers from all over the world every year. If you've never had the chance to try surfing, windsurfing or kayaking, this is the place to do it! Discover the superb stretches of pink sand on the islands mixed with the colors of incomparable waters. Explore the island of Green Turtle Cay with its extraordinary seabed. You will discover simply heavenly landscapes, named after the 450 or so green turtles that once inhabited the region. Take the time to look closely at the unique architecture of the houses, typical of the Bahamas.

Nassau

in Nassau, you can combine entertainment, leisure activities and cultural discoveries. You can stroll in the shade of rare palm trees before listening to a few stories about the legendary Blackbeard. To end your trip in style, set off to discover the island of Andros, located just opposite the capital. This stop will be devoted to animal watching in the West Side National Park. It is also in Andros that you will find those curious blue holes in the atolls. It will be in these rich and fish-filled coral reefs that diving will be most popular.

When to set sail on your cruise to Eleuthera?

Eleuthera enjoys the tropical climate of the Bahamas, which is conducive to relaxation for more than 10 months of the year. We recommend that you go betweenApril and August. There are a few showers at the end of the day and at night, but they are only temporary. In summer, temperatures rise to 35°C. Take the opportunity to relax in a sea at 27°C! avoid the hurricane season, between June and October or even November, as the Caribbean is very much touched by these meteorological phenomena.

How do I get there?

The only way to get toEleuthera Island is byplane. From France, departing from Paris CDG or Orly, you have two choices: take a plane to the United States or to Nassau. Depending on your dates of stay, you can find flights with one or more stopovers lasting between 14 and 20 hours to New York and then Miami or Nassau.

Once you arrive at Miami airport, you can take a small plane that will take you directly to North Eleuthera, and then you will reach your departure base. You can also fly to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. From Nassau, you just need to take one of the many ferries that make the Nassau-Eleuthera crossing daily. The ferry trip takes about 2.5 hours. You can also take a plane, for a journey of just 20 minutes to Eleuthera, before joining your boat and setting off on a cruise to discover the Bahamas!

What kind of boat license is required?

In the Bahamas, a boat license is not required to sail. However, you will be asked to fill in your nautical CV, attesting to previous experience on a boat similar to the one you are renting. For peace of mind, you can also take the skipper option and let a professional steer your boat while you enjoy the scenery!
