Sail on the Pearl of the Canaries: Your Unforgettable Yacht Charter in Lanzarote

Lanzarote is the first destination in the world to obtain Biosphere Responsible Tourism certification. It is the most north-eastern island of the Canaries and has an unparalleled landscape, marked by continuous volcanic eruptions throughout its history, thus creating the Timanfaya National Park, a must-see on the island.

Lanzarote, one of the most enchanting of the Canary Islands, is a destination of choice for sailing enthusiasts. With its year-round mild climate, lunar landscapes and crystal-clear waters, the island is a paradise for sea lovers. And what better way to enjoy it than to rent your own boat?

The various yacht charter options in Lanzarote

  1. Sailboat charter: For sailors mast-raked in adventure and exploration, a monohull sailboat is the perfect ally. It will allow you to explore the most secret corners of the island! Filovent has a wide range of sailboats in the region.
  2. Motor yacht charter: For speed enthusiasts who want to cover greater distances in a short time.
  3. Catamaran charter: For travelers wishing to enjoy a relaxing cruise in a boat that guarantees space and comfort.

Services offered for your yacht charter in Lanzarote

Here are the services we offer:

  • Simple charter: this option gives you complete freedom during your cruise and allows you to discover the wonders of the region in complete autonomy.
  • Charter with skipper: Theskipper will allow you to rent any boat without having any sailing experience! He or she will be able to give you advice on your sailing itinerary and show you the most beautiful places in the region. A charter with a skipper allows you to enjoy more convivial moments on the boat as well as the breathtaking scenery of your cruise!
  • Additional services: If you wish, you can call on a hostess to take care of preparing your meals, or you can also book diving or fishing equipment.

Unmissable sites to discover during your yacht charter

Here are some of the most remarkable sites that you absolutely must see during your yacht charter in Lanzarote:

  1. The unique island of Lanzarote: Its black, reddish and ochre landscapes that blend into the ocean make this destination very special. You will feel like you have landed on Mars while sailing on crystal clear water. The cityof Arrecife is the urban and cosmopolitan center of the island. It is also the location of our base of departure, a modern marina, from where you can start your cruise in Lanzarote. Renting a boat in the Canary Islands is an ideal option for seeing the island of Lanzarote from the sea and sailing tothe Chinijo archipelago, located to the north of the island.
  2. La Graciosa, the little-known jewel of Lanzarote: A few minutes from Lanzarote is the island of La Graciosa, a little treasure of the Canary Islands. You can get there and to the neighboring islands of Montaña Clara andAlegranza on the side of the boat. It is the eighth island to join the archipelago and the smallest, with only 700 inhabitants. It is part ofthe Chinijo archipelago, a group of three large islands, of which it is the only inhabited one, and small islets that make up the largest marine reserve in Europe.

Practical advice for a successful yacht charter in Lanzarote

  • Choose the right time: Lanzarote has a subtropical climate with mild temperatures all year round. However, we recommend that you favor the period from May to October, when temperatures are more pleasant with an average of 25 degrees. Note, however, that there are many tourists during the months of July and August.
  • Find out about local regulations: Make sure you are familiar with the regulations in force in the Canary Islands before setting sail, particularly with regard to anchorage areas, protected areas and speed limits.
  • Documents and formalities: If you are the skipper of the boat, make sure you have a boat license to present. In addition, we strongly advise you to take out damage waiver insurance even if you hire a skipper: in the event of damage to the boat, you are directly responsible, and damage waiver protects you from any unintentional damage.
