The island of Brac is an island in the Adriatic Sea located in Croatia in the open sea off the Dalmatian coast. With a surface area of 396 km², it is the third largest island in the Adriatic, the second largest in Croatia and the largest island off the Dalmatian coast. It has an airport, Brac Airport. The island is particularly well known for the comma-shaped sandy beach of Bol, called Zlatni rat. Its highest point is Vidova Gora, at 778 m. It is the highest point of the Adriatic Sea.
Wander through its peaceful villages
Accessible by boat from the city of Split, the island of Brac is home to small villages where time seems to have stood still. Located a few minutes from Bol, this pebble beach changes shape with the currents. The sandy and pebble beaches follow one another on the side of Postria for those seeking peace and quiet, such as Mala Lozna and Prvlja. The town of Milna, for its part, has vast pebble beaches such as Lučice and Maslinova.
If hiking is one of your favorite summer activities, you can climb to the top of Vidova Gora mountain, starting from the town of Bol, where a small, cozy restaurant awaits you with a beautiful view of the islands of Vis and Biševo.on the islands of Vis and Biševo. On a clear day, you can even see the Apennines. Back in Bol, don't forget to take a photo of the Dominican monastery, built in 1475.
