You can't be tempted by the yacht charters in the Côtes d'Armor without setting foot on land, if only to sample the delights of lazing on its sandy beaches, escaping into the heart oflush nature or to visit its villages and cities of Character. A range of landscapes, both by the sea and inland, await you during your cruise in the Côtes-d'Armor.
A world-famous coastline
The reputation of the coasts of the Côtes-d'Armor department has long since spread beyond the borders of France. The Pink Granite Coast is a unanimous favorite with vacationers and pleasure boaters, who will have plenty to enrich their photo album along the close-hauled stretch of 15 km between Perros-Guirec and Trébeurden. But the Pink Granite Coast also offers interesting stopovers for sailors who will find a few isolated coves where they can enjoy a moment of swimming in complete tranquility. Its long sandy beaches have also enabled a number of seaside resorts to develop, including Perros-Guirec. Built on a rocky promontory, Perros-Guirec boasts two large sunny beaches where you can veer towards sailing and water sports in a friendly atmosphere. For a touch of authenticity, head for the beach of Trestrignel, dominated by a castle, which has a wilder character. But Perros-Guirec is also an excellent point of departure for a mini-cruise to the 7 Islands archipelago, which will entertain birdlife enthusiasts.
Want to stroll along one of the most beautiful beaches of the Côtes-d'Armor during your vacation in Brittany? Head to Tresmeur beach, part of the family seaside resort of Trébeurden. The latter is located near the Trébeurden marina and is home to a few bars and restaurants where you can sip a glass of wine with a breathtaking view of the island of Milliau, which you can of course reach from the port.
A rich natural and cultural heritage
In addition to their beaches and seaside resorts, sometimes peaceful and sometimes lively, the Côtes-d'Armor are also graced by a natural, rural and urban landscape of unparalleled beauty.. Hiking, visits to historical sites and family relaxation are among the activities offered by the department, which is home to several "Cities of Character", including Erquy and Trégastel.
Trégastel attracts more than just vacationers to its coastline, which alternates between fine sandy beaches and pink granite rocks. The town also shines thanks to its rich historical heritage, which you can admire during a short visit. Don't miss the church of Sainte-Anne, built from the 12th century onwards, and the church of Saint-Golgon, where time has completely lost its grip. There are also numerous fountains in Trégastel, such as the Saint-Laurent fountain.
The island of Bréhat, nicknamed the "island of flowers", also deserves special attention, especially if you are a fan of peace and greenery. Very popular with hikers, Bréhat offers several hiking trails through the exotic flowers that adorn the paths with a thousand colors between June and September. on foot or by bike, your walk will take you to a few wild and isolated coves where you can cool off.
